Odds Analysis

If this match took place a couple weekends ago, Manchester United would have probably been a -150 or so favorite on the moneyline. It's amazing the difference a couple great matches can make.

Now, the Citizens are -345 on the moneyline and are favored by a goal and a half on the Asian Handicap.

The total is set at 2.5 with -160 vig on the over, effectively making the total a flat 3 shaded slightly towards the under.

Key Injuries

There's really nothing new to report on the injury front for Manchester United. Jose Mourinho won't be able to call upon Ashley Young, Luke Shaw or Marcos Rojo for this fixture, though both Shaw and Young should be back sooner rather than later as they recover from injuries from the offseason.

The Foxes are hurting at the moment. Daniel Drinkwater and Robert Huth have both been out for the whole season to date. Now, Vicente Iborra has a groin problem, while Wes Morgan has a back injury. It's quite possible that both men will be out for the trip to Old Trafford, and that would be a devastating blow to a team that is already overmatched.

Recent Form

There's no denying just how good Manchester United has been. It has five goals in the final 10 minutes of matches this season, and that's how these matches have become blowouts against both West Ham and Swansea City. The Red Devils, though, have definitively been the better team for just about every stretch of the season outside of the first little burst the Swans had at Liberty Stadium last weekend.

It's been all pretty darn good for the Foxes thus far this year. Leicester City should have beaten Arsenal at the Emirates and was incredibly unlucky to be a 4-3 loser. It responded by opening up King Power Stadium this year with a 2-0 triumph over Brighton. The Foxes then dismissed Sheffield United from the Carabao Cup, albeit with a mostly reserve squad on the pitch.

As the days tick by at the end of the transfer window, one has to wonder if this Leicester City team is going to stick together. We know that Jamie Vardy isn't going anywhere, but Riyad Mahrez still could.

That said, Leicester City should be recognized as a legitimate Premier League team at this point and one that has a shot of going on the road and beating the Red Devils. Manchester United is a better team than it was last season, though no one truly believes that it is going to run roughshod on everyone it runs into this year.

Assuming that there isn't a major transfer shakeup at the King Power between now and the weekend, we have no reason to believe the Foxes won't be live. They've got enough going offensively with Vardy and the in-form Shinji Okazaki to put the ball in the back of the net for the first time this year against Man U.

At the end of the year, this draw won't be looked upon as a terrible result for the Red Devils, though in the moment, the fans at Old Trafford will rue the outcome.

BPL Odds: Manchester United 2, Leicester City 2
