Tottenham Hotspur is going to get the first chance to put some pressure on the teams at the top of the Premier League table in Match Day 6 this weekend. The Spurs travel to West Ham United in a tea time kickoff with hopes of ultimately getting back into the top four at the early juncture of the campaign.
This English Premier League duel will go down Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 7:30 a.m. ET at London Stadium. The match will be televised live on NBC Sports Network.

Odds Analysis
Tottenham has yet to concede a goal yet away from home, and it has all six points possible. The Spurs are understandably -160 favorites, especially against a West Ham team that has really yet to find its footing this year.
If the Hammers are going to get anything from this match, they’re going to be fighting long odds for sure. They’re +425 to take all three points.
The total is set at 2.5 with a slight vig boost towards the over at -140.
Key Injuries
Mauricio Pochettino really doesn’t have a lot to worry about right now on the injury front. Victor Wanyama is out with a knee injury that he picked up a couple weeks ago, while Danny Rose and Erik Lamela have long-term injuries and have yet to debut this season. It would be nice to get Wanyama back in the fold sometime in the near future, but this match won’t be when that happens.
West Ham is without the services of James Collins, Edimilson Fernandes and Manuel Lanzini, all of which have lower body injuries that will keep them out of the fold until at least the end of the month.
Recent Form
Apparently if Tottenham could just get the heck out of Wembley Stadium, it would be in great shape. The Spurs have already lost at home to Chelsea and drawn to Burnley and Swansea City at home, yet out here on the road, the squad has yet to concede a goal and has outscored Everton and Newcastle 5-0 on aggregate. Most recently, the Spurs picked up a 1-0 win over Barnsley in the EFL Cup, though of course, that match doesn’t nearly mean as much as this one will.
West Ham’s defense of late? Spotless. The Hammers might not have played a great side against Bolton in the EFL Cup earlier in the week, but the 3-0 result was a good one anyway. Toss in a scoreless draw against West Brom on the road and a 2-0 victory at home against Huddersfield Town, and that’s 270 straight minutes of scoreless football.

The biggest problem West Ham has at the moment is that it can’t get its two biggest pieces of the puzzle offensively on the field at the same time. Slaven Bilic continues to insist that he can’t play Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez on the pitch together, a factor that we think is really holding this team back at the moment.
That said, we think this is a moment of weakness for Tottenham. This rivalry is fierce, and the Hammers aren’t going to go down quietly even if they do have problems putting the ball in the back of the net. We suspect we’re going to see Carroll start in the No. 9 role right in the middle of the pitch and cause a lot of problems in the box with his head. It’s only going to take one great moment, and this match can be turned on its side.
Tottenham will escape with a draw from its crosstown rivals, but this will be a tough point to snare. We’ll take the Asian Handicap with West Ham.
English Premier League Odds: West Ham 1, Tottenham 1
