The U.S. Men's National Team had a bit of a rocky road in the fourth round of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup, but the job is done, and the team will be off to the final stage, also known as the Hexagonal. Trinidad & Tobago is through as well to the last six with three of those teams locking up the crucial spots in Russia in 2018. The match the USA and T&T doesn't mean a heck of a lot, though if the United States does go on to win this match, it will win Group C as it was always expected to do.

Odds Analysis
Because this match technically doesn't mean anything to either of these teams, the betting odds are off the board as of the writing of this article. The Americans, playing in front of the American Outlaws in Jacksonville, will surely be favored and favored by a relatively large margin against the current Group C winners. There's still something to be said about making sure this team stays in good form, and a home loss would be something Jurgen Klinsmann would need some major answers for.
Roster Analysis
Trinidad doesn't have the luxury or the depth of playing a lesser roster in this match. Joevin Jones bagged a brace against Guatemala in the decisive match to lock up its place in the last stage of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, and he's going to be one of the big time stars of this team. Orlando City's Kevin Molino and Kenwyne Jones are both big threats to score as well.
The Americans are very likely to use a very young squad here in Jacksonville. Klinsmann intentionally called upon a side with a few younger names, and we wouldn't be shocked to see Darlington Nagbe, Christian Pulisic, Jordan Morris and Paul Arriola all in this lineup, as they're all 26 years of age or younger. Pulisic scored twice against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines a few days ago, and at 17 years old, he has a tremendously bright future with the U.S. Men's National Team.
Recent Form
Even though the Americans were beaten by Guatemala on the road in qualifying, they've largely taken care of business otherwise. Sure, they drew 0-0 when these two teams met back in Port of Spain, but that was a mere blip on the radar. The United States has 10 points in five matches, and though that would technically classify as a disappointment, the job has effectively been done.
Trinidad actually hasn't lost a match yet in qualifying, and really, all five of the results so far would be considered massive successes. Sure, the team drew Guatemala 2-2 at home, but that's all T&T needed to get into the Hex, thus it was a good day at the office. Furthermore, no one would complain about a scoreless draw against the United States, even at home. Even if this match was lost by 10 goals, just getting into the Hex was a great accomplishment would be celebrated.

Even though temptation is going to be high to back the United States here, keep in mind that this is a much different team than the one that got the Americans to this point. For all intents and purposes, this is a futures team, one that probably won't even end up having most of its participants going to Russia should Klinsmann guide this team there.
That said, we'll back Trinidad & Tobago and the Asian Handicap, one that will surely be at least a goal and a half. Maybe the American eke out a one-goal win, but we think they'll end up succumbing with a score draw.
Soccer Odds: United States 2, Trinidad & Tobago 2
