United States Women's National Team looks to flex its muscle one last time before World Cup against Korea Republic Saturday on ESPN

There's just one more preparation match left for the United States women's soccer team, and that fixture comes at home against the Korea Republic on Saturday in New Jersey.

HOW THEY GOT HERE

The United States has reached the precipice of the World Cup by simply being the best team in the world. They were easily the top qualifiers through the CONCACAF region, and though they have drawn a really tough group in Canada for the World Cup, few are doubting the fact that they will get through that group with flying colors.

South Korea is in its final prep match for the World Cup as well, and the trip to New Jersey will be a useful one to compare it against one of the best sides in the world on enemy soil. The Koreans have only made the World Cup once in their history, that coming back in 2003, and this won't be an easy draw for them in Group E either.

QUOTE TO NOTE

"Chemistry is so important. That's why Alex (Morgan) and I have always been so good on the field together. We've worked off of each other and we've used both of our strengths and combined them and used them as one force – a superhero type thing." – United States captain Abby Wambach on her relationship with her front-running partner Alex Morgan

RECENT FORM

Korea hasn't been in fantastic forming leading into the World Cup. The team was beaten twice consecutively in March, first 2-1 by Scotland and then 1-0 by Canada. Neither result was terrible in a nutshell, especially the loss against one of the favorites to win the World Cup. Since then though, the Koreans have been good at home, beating Belgium and Russia twice heading into this match before traveling up to the Great White North for the start of the World Cup.

The USWNT has been fantastic of late. The team has won four straight matches by multiple goals, beating Mexico, Ireland, New Zealand and France by the combined score of 14-1. The only goal allowed against Mexico came off of a quirky little play, the likes of which won't normally happen.

ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION

Wambach makes a great point that she has a great relationship with Morgan at the front of the pitch, but she and Sydney Leroux are now looking like they have a similar bond. These two ladies combined for four goals against Mexico in the USA's last match, and they are going to be all over the pitch trying to put this duel away early as well.

The real test for the Koreans though, is going to be how to get one past Hope Solo in the American net. The United States had 65 percent of the possession against a comparable Mexican side in Los Angeles two weeks ago, and it allowed just three shots on target, only one of which was truly threatening.

The Americans meanwhile, had 21 total shots in the game, 11 of which were on target, and five of which scored.

That's the story of the United States right now, and you know that this team wants to stay on track heading into the World Cup, as it is ready to flex its muscle as the best side in the world after failing to claim the title in each of 2003, 2007 and 2011.

United States 3, Korea Republic 0
