The Oregon State Beavers were one strike away from finishing as the college baseball national runners-up, but they fought back for a wild win over the Arkansas Razorbacks in Game 2 of the national championship series. Now the teams will face off in a winner-take-all Game 3 with the title on the line.
Oregon State has been living on the edge throughout the College World Series but will be favored to claim the championship with a win in the deciding game. Arkansas was on the precipice of celebrating the title and it is fair to wonder how well the team will be able to bounce back.
The Beavers’ bats got hot at the right time in Game 2 and the team is hoping to carry that over in the final game of the college baseball season. The Razorbacks have controlled almost the entire national championship series and hope that results in the title in College World Series betting.
The College World Series contest between the Oregon State Beavers and Arkansas Razorbacks will be held at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska. The game will take place on Thursday, June 28th, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. ET. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2.

Oregon State has been listed as the -190 favorite to claim Game 3 of the national championship series and win the title. Arkansas has been listed as the +150 underdog. The Razorbacks were the underdogs in each of the first two games and won the first before nearly pulling off the second.
The Beavers are the 1.5-run favorites and are +105 underdogs to cover that spread. Arkansas is the -145 favorite to cover the spread of plus-1.5. The run total is listed at 11.5 runs, with the “over” the favorite at -130.

Arkansas held a 3-2 lead in the top of the ninth inning and were just one out away from the national title, but Oregon State wouldn’t let that happen. Cadyn Grenier singled home pinch-runner Zach Clayton to tie the contest and Trevor Larnach gave Oregon State the 5-3 win by blasting a two-run homer.
The Beavers looked to be done but the exhilarating victory keeps them on track to win the title. The Razorbacks were previously 42-0 when entering the ninth inning with a lead but closer Matt Cronin allowed three runs in the final stanza.
Luke Bonfield had a big game for the Razorbacks, finishing 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Arkansas was hoping its early offense would be enough but the inability to tack on runs hurt the team when the Beavers rallied.
