The Arkansas Razorbacks were the underdogs heading into the national championship series but now find themselves just one victory away from claiming the College World Series national title. Arkansas knocked off the Oregon State Beavers in the opener but will be the underdogs once again in Game 2.
The Beavers are no strangers to having their backs against the wall in this tournament. They lost their opening game of the College World Series and had to fight back all the way through the loser’s bracket to win their grouping and make the national title series. Oregon State has to now win two straight games to claim the title but has the talent to pull it off.
The national championship series has gotten good and Arkansas will aim to hoist the hardware at the end of Game 2 while Oregon State aims to push this one to a winner-take-all Game 3. It doesn’t get any better than this in NCAA baseball gambling.
The College World Series contest between the Oregon State Beavers and Arkansas Razorbacks will be held at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska. The game will take place on Thursday, June 28th, 2018, at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

Odds Analysis
Oregon State has opened up as the -170 favorite to claim Game 2 of the national championship series. The Razorbacks are the +130 underdogs to pull off a mini upset and celebrate the title. The Beavers are a 1.5-run favorite and the odds are set at -110 to cover that spread. Arkansas is listed at -130 to win or lose by one run.
The scoring total has been placed at 12 runs as the oddsmakers can see a wild contest with plenty of offense in this one. The “under” is the favorite, being wagered on at -145, with the “over” set as the +115 underdog in College World Series betting.
Last Time Out
Arkansas picked up the Game 1 win with a 4-1 victory. The Razorbacks got all of their runs in the fifth inning, which allowed them to take control and cruise to the win. Catcher Grant Koch finished the contest 2-for-3 with a run scored and the RBI that tied the contest at 1 and helped lead to the big inning.
Oregon State pitcher Luke Heimlich was his own worst enemy in the frame, walking a pair of batters and hitting two others in the inning as Arkansas took control.
He was outdueled by Arkansas starter Blaine Knight. Knight allowed only one run and seven hits in six innings, striking out six players. The bullpen provided three innings of shutout ball as the Razorbacks cruised to the victory.
Oregon State had nine hits, including a pair of doubles from Trevor Larnach, but couldn’t muster more than the one run. The Beavers are no doubt upset they couldn’t do more offensively, but the oddsmakers believe they will bounce back next time out.
Free College World Series ATS Picks
The Beavers are the better team but that won’t matter much if Arkansas can come away with one more win. The Razorbacks have been the hottest team at the College World Series and nine more innings of that will have them crowned as national champions.
The Beavers should be able to fight back and force a deciding game behind a much better offensive effort. Look for Oregon State to jump out to an early lead to take all the drama out of this one, setting up one more game for the national championship in College World Series betting.
MLB ATS Pick: Oregon State Beavers 8, Mississippi State Bulldogs 3
