The Oregon State Beavers are one of the strongest programs in college baseball and it’s not a surprise the team is back in the College World Series. Oregon State won the Pac-12 for the ninth time in the past 10 years and earned a No. 3 national seed for the NCAA Tournament. The Beavers have made it to the College World Series three times in the past six years and are aiming for their first national championship since winning back-to-back in 2006 and 2007.
They will begin this double-elimination tournament with a matchup against the No. 6 seed North Carolina Tar Heels. They are the only two national seeds on their half of the bracket, so the team that wins this game will be looked upon as the favorite to advance to the national championship series.
The Tar Heels went 43-18 in the regular season and after a slow start finished in the top ten in the national rankings. North Carolina is a worthy foe and would love to pull off the upset in Game 1 of the College World Series gambling.

Oregon State hosted Minnesota in the Supers and swept with scores of 8-1 and 6-3. The Beavers’ performance against some quality competition is a reason why they should be considered on the short list of national championship contenders.
North Carolina went undefeated in its Regional. The Tar Heels knocked off North Carolina A&T in the opening game and then beat Houston twice to advance to the Super Regional. They faced off against Stetson and had no issue, winning the first game by a score of 7-4 and the second 7-5 to make it to the College World Series.
