Oregon State made it here by routing Washington, 14-5, last time out. The Beavers actually trailed 3-0 heading into the fifth inning and the game was tied at 5 heading into the seventh. Oregon State’s offense exploded from there, as the team scored four runs in the seventh inning and five more in the eighth.
Nick Madrigal and Michael Gretler had three hits apiece while Kyle Nobach went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Oregon State got some big-time relief work from Kevin Abel, as he only allowed one run in four innings while striking out five.
