ODDS ANALYSISThe Orioles enter the series after losing three of four at home to Texas, capped by Thursday’s 2-0 loss which dropped them into a tie atop the AL East with the Yankees. The O’s were rolling prior to that series winning 18 of 23 games to reach the top spot in the division.The Orioles come in with eight wins in their last 12 road games, but remain a careful bet on the road with a 14-20 overall record, down 4.25 units on the moneyline. The Orioles won two of three from the Sox earlier this season in Baltimore. The first win was played without fans during the rioting in the city and the teams split a makeup doubleheader on May 28.... 

ODDS ANALYSISIf things aren’t bad enough for the Mets already, they head out on the road, where they have the second-worst record in baseball, for a stretch of games against the NL West. Their offensive struggles continued with a 6-1 loss to the Cubs on Thursday, getting swept in that series scoring just once.Runs have been at a premium for the New Yorkers, who have scored better than two in a game twice over the last 14 while going 4-10 in that span. The under is 11-3 in those games. The Mets cashed the under in each of Matt Harvey’s last three outings and in four of his last five starts.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Twins aren’t going away in the AL Central race and the Royals are making sure they hang around. The Twins are just 5-7 in their last 12 games but they closed the gap in the division winning the first game of the weekend series with a 2-0 shutout on Thursday.Minnesota improved to 4-6 against KC this season and won for the second time against them in the last seven games. An improved road record could help the Twins in their fight for first place. Minnesota is just 3-6 in its last nine roadies and 17-22 overall this season. The Twins are a profitable bet this season, in the black 12.74 units on the moneyline.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Mets will have to break out of their scoring slump at some point, won’t they? Not facing aces Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke has to be a positive sign, which is something the Mets will gladly accept at this point. Not only are the Mets not scoring, they’ve been terrible on the road this season, entering the weekend with the second-fewest road wins in the majors.After getting swept by the Cubs and scoring just one run in the series, the under is 13-3 in New York’s last 16 games. One that played above the scoreline during the stretch was Steven Matz’s debut, when he drove in four of the team’s runs in a 7-2 win over Cincinnati.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Rays should be excited to leave Florida after butchering their 10-game homestand with eight losses. The offense failed miserably and the pitching wasn’t far behind in losing the final five games.There was a slight outburst Thursday when they scored four times, matching their output from the previous three games combined, but it wasn’t enough. Despite the slide Tampa Bay is in the hunt in the AL East with four teams having won 42 games entering play this weekend. The Rays have been solid on the road going 22-14 overall up 10.62 units on the moneyline, and they are 11-3 in their last 14 away from the Trop.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Marlins turned a horrible homestand into just a bad one with a three game sweep of the defending World Series Champion Giants, ending their stay at 4-5 following Thursday’s 5-4 win. Miami held on for its second straight one-run win and is 3-0 in the last three games decided by a single run.The Marlins won two of three from Chicago when the teams met in Florida a month ago and got to the Cubs staff for 12 runs in their two wins. Without slugger Giancarlo Stanton in the lineup, the Marlins still scored 16 times in their sweep of the Giants, cashing the over in all three games.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Giants and Nationals square off for the first time since meeting in the 2014 NL Division Series, which the Giants won in four games. San Francisco’s road trip got off to a rocky start with a three-game sweep at Miami with the team’s usually reliable pitching staff getting beat up.The Giants’ offense is fine, holding the second-highest batting average in the big leagues, scoring 44 runs in the seven games before this series, and cashing the over each time. The over is 10-3-1 in SF’s last 14 games and 25-11-3 after 39 road contests.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Phillies have taken their lumps and will continue to get beat as their rebuilding shifts into full swing. This team is likely to have a different look after the trade deadline with Cole Hamels the biggest chip to deal. In the meantime the Phils continue to flounder while the prospects get their feet wet.They were swept in a four-game series by Milwaukee, losing 8-7 on Thursday for the seventh time in eight games and remain the least profitable team in the majors down 18.05 units this season. The Phils dropped two of three in Atlanta in early May with the over at 2-0-1 in those games.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Brewers won four straight games for the first time this season with Wednesday’s 9-5 win at Philadelphia. Sure, three of those wins came against the Phils, but a wins a win. The Brewers could be trending up after their first non-losing month since June 2014.They concluded this June winning six of eight to finish at 14-14. Milwaukee’s road swing continues in Cincinnati where the Brewers have a tough time getting wins, totaling just six victories in their last 23 games. Milwaukee dropped two of three at Great American Ball Park when the teams met there in April and is just 2-5 down 3.08 units against the Reds this season.... 

Jordan Zimmerman has quietly been one of the hottest pitchers in baseball over the course of the last couple weeks. He and the Washington Nationals (43-36 SU, -1.38 Units) will look to exorcize some of the demons of last season's playoff series against the San Francisco Giants (42-38 SU, -0.09 Units) on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.... 

Five straight wins at least gives the Milwaukee Brewers (33-48 SU, -13.78 Units) something to be happy about as we head towards the All-Star break. The team hosting the All-Star Game meanwhile, the Cincinnati Reds (36-41 SU, -6.13 Units) just seems to be playing out the string before moves are made after the season's intermission.... 

It takes quite the stomach nowadays to bet on the Philadelphia Phillies (27-54, -19.05 Units). However, they have at least started to put some runs on the board of late, which could make them a decent play against the Atlanta Braves (38-41 SU, +3.97 Units) on the Fourth of July.... 

No offense in the majors has been struggling more than that of the New York Mets (40-40 SU, -2.54 Units). It's probably not the best time in the world to run into the best one-two punch of pitchers in the bigs, but that's what the Los Angeles Dodgers (45-35 SU, -6.35 Units) are bringing into the Fourth of July weekend.... 

The resurgent Chicago Cubs (41-25, $307) remain entrenched in the wildcard race and find themselves with a break in this schedule this weekend as they take on the lowly Miami Marlins (33-46, -$1,331) with the middle game coming Saturday night.... 

Few would have believed it back in April, but the Kansa City Royals (44-31, $1,249) and Minnesota Twins (41-37, $1,133) meet in a best of four this Independence Day weekend with them sitting one and two in the AL Central standings. The Twins will look to gain ground on Saturday in the third game of four.... 

With both teams in the heat of battle in the AL East, this becomes a huge weekend set as the New York Yankees (42-37, -$209) play host to the Tampa Bay Rays (42-38, $273) in the middle game of three on Saturday.... 

ODDS ANALYSISIf not for the lowly Philadelphia Phillies, the Mets would have the fewest road wins in the majors. On top of that they can’t score runs and they get NL MVP and Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw. Doesn’t look good for the Amazin’s.New York avoided a winless road trip the last time they travelled, winning in Milwaukee to finish that journey at 1-7. Their recent homestand started well enough with a sweep of the Reds, but back-to-back shutout losses to the Cubs exacerbated the existing problem of run production. Since the start of their 1-7 road trip the Mets scored 22 times in 13 games with the under going 11-2 in that span.... 

ODDS ANALYSISAfter losing nine of 11 games the Marlins strung together consecutive wins taking the first two from the Giants with Wednesday’s dramatic walk-off. Taking to the road isn’t something the fish are looking forward to however with losses in eight of their last 10 away from Marlins Park. It’s been a struggle on the road all season for Miami with a 13-24 record down 8.99 units on the moneyline. The Marlins haven’t won more than two in a row on the road all season. They did however take two of three from the Cubs when the teams met in Miami in early June.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Giants’ fancy road record took a hit when they dropped the first two games of their six-game trip in Miami, losing 6-5 on Wednesday on a three-run walk-off home run in the ninth inning. It was the first time the Giants lost three in a row on the road since a four-game slide in April. SF is a solid road bet at 21-17 up 6.16 units on the moneyline despite the slide.The Giants scored 40 runs in six games after their five-spot against the Marlins, cashing the over in all six games. However they are just 3-3 over that span giving up 35 runs.... 

Two enticing young pitchers will be on the bump on Friday night in Tinseltown, where the Los Angeles Dodgers (44-35 SU, -7.35 Units) clash with the New York Mets (40-38 SU, -0.33 Units).ODDS ANALYSISClayton Kershaw is going to get the ball in his hands on Friday night once again, and he is going to be pitching for the first time in his career riding a three-game losing streak.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Pirates snapped their three-game road losing streak and won for the third time in four games with Tuesday’s 5-4, 14-inning marathon victory, evening the season series with the Tigers at 2-2. Pittsburgh also leveled its season road record at 19-19 while moving 10 games over .500 in the black 3.16 units on the moneyline.... 

Fresh off a series sweep against the Cardinals, the Chicago Cubs (40-35, $207) got back in the win column Tuesday and will look to stay there this weekend, kicking off a three game set against the Miami Marlins (32-46, -$1,446) on Friday.... 

The Washington Nationals (43-34 SU, +1.86 Units) remain one of the hottest teams in the bigs with nine wins in 10 games heading into Wednesday night.They'll face the San Francisco Giants (42-36 SU, +2.16 Units), a team which could be headed down a dark path, on Friday.... 

ODDS ANALYSISA trip to Florida is just what the Indians needed after losing three straight and seven of nine. Cleveland took the first two of the series with the Rays behind outstanding pitching performances and their offense came alive with 13 runs in the two games after getting blanked in both games of Sunday’s doubleheader.The Tribe won consecutive games for the first time since a three-game win streak from May 30-June 2. Cleveland has lost five straight games started by Cory Kluber and is just 3-13 in his 16 starts.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Cubs haven’t exactly been ripping the cover off the baseball, but they did enough Tuesday to squeak out a 1-0 win, snapping a five-game losing streak where they scored a total of six runs.Chicago’s last win prior to their slide was also a 1-0 victory, giving them a grand total of eight runs in their last seven games. The under is 6-1 in those seven games and 8-1-1 in Chicago’s last 10. The win also gave the Cubs a 5-0 record against the Mets this season....
