  • BookMaker.eu If you thought last week’s team play at the Zurich Classic was different, wait until you see the GolfSixes this weekend on the European Tour. The GolfSixes is just a two-day event, taking place on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 with 16 teams competing for the title on just six holes. The style of play will be Greensomes, which means that both players hit their tee-shots, and then they choose the best one and it is alternate shot the rest of the hole. It is match play, with one team competing against another. Saturday’s action will have four groups of four, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals which will be played on Sunday, as will the semifinals and final. Let’s look at this event, golf odds and golf predictions....

  • BookMaker.eu The European Tour stays in China this week for the Volvo China Open where Bernd Wiesberger is the favorite at odds of +1000. Wiesberger got the win last week at the Shenzhen International, so he will be trying for two straight wins. It is a top heavy field in Beijing with only two players listed at odds of less than 20-1. Wiesberger is +1000, while Ross Fisher is +1100. It is worth noting that longshots have won the last two editions of this event, as Hao Tong Li won last year, while Ashun Wu won two years ago....

  • BookMaker.eu Tommy Fleetwood is favored to win the Shenzhen International this week at odds of +1515. It is the third edition of this event, as Soomin Lee was a surprise winner last year, while Kiradech Aphibarnrat won two years ago. Fleetwood is the favorite to win this year, even though Bubba Watson is in the field. Watson is the highest ranked player in the field at No. 22 in the world and he is the second choice in the betting at +1642....

  • BookMaker.eu The European Tour returns to South Africa for the third time this season at the 2017 Joburg Open. The tournament was played in January the past few years and now gets a new date and because of it, the betting field is lackluster at best with no star power and really no depth. The 210 player field is the largest of the year....

  • BookMaker.eu The 106th edition of the BMW SA Open gets underway this week in South Africa and tournament host Ernie Els has done a remarkable job this year putting a better field together that includes World No. 3 Rory McIlroy +300. • BookMaker.eu The European Tour travels to South Africa for the 2016 Alfred Dunhill Championship and the question this week is can anyone beat Charl Schwartzel +350. He has won this event a record four times, including three of the past four times and has finished second another four times. He also is in good form with a T3 in his last start at the DP World Tour Championship. “It’s definitely one of my favorite courses that we play in the year, if not the favorite. • BookMaker.eu The Final Series has arrived on the European Tour but the top players have not. The Nedbank Golf Challenge was suppose to be like a playoff event with the top 60 players present and jockeying for positions in the season long Race to Dubai, setting up next week’s grand finale in Dubai, but a handful of top players did not make the trip to South Africa, most notably No. 2 ranked Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia. Others skipping the event include Lee Westwood, Francesco Molinari, Bernd Wiesberger and Russell Knox. It goes to show you what the players think of this format. They don’t seem to care and the European Tour brass need to do something about it, either change the tournament sites or penalize the players. Something isn’t right!...

  • BookMaker.eu The European Tour’s Final Series starts this week at the Turkish Airlines Open. The leading 70 players on the Race to Dubai are all exempt although, due to the recent corruption in Turkey, most of the top players are taking the week off. Henrik Stenson, Rory Mcilroy, Alex Noren and Louis Oosthuizen are all absent this week. Adding to the list of absentees are American Patrick Reed, Chris Wood, Branden Grace, Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose. The European Tour need to rethink their decision to play ...

  • BookMaker.eu Record setting rookie Thomas Pieters +750 and defending champion Andy Sullivan +1500 headline this week’s Portugal Masters. Pieters was brilliant in his Ryder Cup debut earning the most points by any player and this course should be perfect for his game. Sullivan has struggled. He played horrible in the Ryder Cup and has played poorly most of the year. Last week’s winner Alex Noren is also in the field. The former Oklahoma State Cowboy picked up his third win of the year and seventh of his caree...

  • BookMaker.eu The British Masters has a new venue and a new host. Last year the tournament was played at nearby Woburn with Ian Poulter as the host, this year the event moves to The Grove and Luke Donald +2550 is the tournament host. Joining Donald in the field include Ryder Cuppers Lee Westwood +5000, Matthew Fitzpatrick +3240, Chris Wood +2400, Danny Willett +2000 and Andy Sullivan +4000. European Tour winners Alex Noren +1200, Thongchai Jaidee +4000, Tyrrell Hatton +2200, Alexander Levy +3250 and Joost Luiten +3750 are all scheduled to compete. It’s not a flashy field, but does have good depth....

  • BookMaker.eu The Europeans are still sulking from their embarrassing loss in the Ryder Cup, but the show must go on and many of the losing team members are on hand this week in Scotland for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Martin Kaymer +1900, Lee Westwood +2100, Danny Willett +1800, Matthew Fitzpatrick +3000, Thomas Pieters +1600 and Rafa Cabrera-Bello +1500 are all scheduled to tee it up this week. You throw in South African stars Louis Oosthuizen +1500 and Branden Grace +1200 and you have a star studded field....

  • BookMaker.eu American star and victorious Ryder Cup team member, Brandt Snedeker +350 is the headliner at this week’s Fiji International. The eight-time US PGA Tour winner would like to add to his collection of titles when he makes his debut in the tournament, which for the first time will be co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia....

  • BookMaker.eu With the Ryder Cup a week away, many of the top European Tour players are taking the week off. The only two Ryder Cup players in the field are Martin Kaymer +1100 and Thomas Pieters +900. Both were captain’s picks and both are the favorites this week at the Porsche European Open. Kaymer is playing a home game and the German is still searching for his first win of the year. What better place to grab a win in front of the home folks. Pieters is an electric player that hits it long and has no fear....

  • BookMaker.eu The European Tour travels to Italy this week for the 2016 Italian Open. The tournament is one of the oldest on the European Tour. The event was first played 90 years ago and joined the European Tour in 1972.The tournament has a knack for producing first time winners. At the turn of the century, the Italian Open became a launch pad for young talent, including a maiden European Tour title for Ian Poulter in 2000. Poulter would win it again in 2002....

  • BookMaker.eu Thomas Pieters is favored to win the KLM Open which begins on Thursday at The Dutch in Spijk, Groningen, Netherlands. Pieters was recently named to the Ryder Cup team by captain Darren Clarke and there is no questioning the pick as Pieters has finished first, second and fourth in his last three events and he has won three times on the European Tour in the last year. Pieters is listed at odds of 8/1 with last week’s winner, Alex Noren the second choice at odds of 10/1 while local favorite Joost L...
