Daniel Berger is the only player ranked in the Top 20 in the world in the field for this week’s John Deere Classic, so it is not a huge surprise that Berger is listed as the favorite at odds of +1419. Only one other player is listed with odds of less than +2000, as Brian Harman is +1908. We are coming off a very good week with the matchup picks, as we were 4-1 at the Greenbrier. We’ll look to continue that success at the John Deere Classic....
The John Deere Classic is scheduled to start July 13-16, 2017. CBS and Golf Channel will televise the event....
The last PGA Tour event before next week’s Open Championship is the John Deere Classic, which begins on Thursday in Illinois. None of the world’s top players are in the field, as those that are choosing to play this week are teeing it up in the Scottish Open. Daniel Berger is the lukewarm favorite to win the John Deere Classic at odds of +1250. Berger is the top ranked player in the field at No. 20 in the latest World Golf Rankings....
Patrick Reed is the favorite to win The Greenbrier Classic, which gets underway on Thursday. The Old White TPC course was rebuilt after last year’s flood but scoring should still be excellent, although players may have to get used to the new greens. The course is still a par 70 and the distance of 7,286 yards should benefit the longer hitters, especially with the wide fairways. We’ll look to improve on last week’s 2-2 record with this week’s matchup picks....
If you are looking for value, then this could be the week for you, as just four of the top 30 players the world are in the field for The Greenbrier Classic, which begins on Thursday, July 6 in West Virginia at the Old White TPC. Patrick Reed is the lukewarm favorite to win this event at odds of +1250, with Bill Haas the second choice at +1450 and Kevin Kisner the third choice at odds of +1650. It is so wide open that Phil Mickelson, who has not won a tournament in almost four years, is the fourth choice at +2050....
Rickie Fowler is favored to win the Quicken Loans National, which begins on Thursday just outside of Washington D.C. Fowler is the top ranked player in the field and he is featured in two of the matchups this week, as he is paired against Justin Thomas and Patrick Reed. We had a really good week with the matchups at the Travelers, going 4-1, so we’ll look to stay hot with four matchups at the Quicken Loans National, including two underdogs....
Just two of the top 12 players in the latest World Rankings are in the field for the Quicken Loans National, which begins on Thursday at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in Potomac, Maryland, just outside of Washington D.C. Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas are the top two betting choices in a field that includes 16 PGA Tour winners from this season including PLAYERS winner Si Woo Kim. Fowler, Thomas and Patrick Reed are the only players listed with odds of less than 22-1....
Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy are the top betting choices to win the Travelers Championship, which begins on Thursday at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. Surprisingly, there are a lot of big names competing the week after the U.S. Open, as joining Spieth and McIlroy are Jason Day, Justin Thomas, Paul Casey, Patrick Reed and Bubba Watson, among others. Let’s take a look at this week’s odds and matchups and see if we can improve upon last week’s 3-3 mark....
Normally after a major championship we don’t get a strong field but that is not the case this week, as six of the Top 20 players in the world are playing in the Travelers Championship including two players, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day, who missed the cut at least week’s U.S. Open. They are joined by Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed and Paul Casey. Spieth and McIlroy are listed as co-favorites, at odds of +950....
Do you think this year’s U.S. Open will end with a playoff? Do you think the winning score will be under par? Those are just two of the props on the board for the U.S. Open, which begins on Thursday, June 15 at Erin Hills, just outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If you are looking for value there are some props offering double-digit returns, including Will Anyone Break the U.S. Open 18-Hole Scoring Record of 63? Let’s look at all of the props and a few predictions....
If you like to bet matchups then this is the week for you, as there are numerous matchups on the board for the U.S. Open, which begins on Thursday at Erin Hills, just outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Golf’s second major of the year has Dustin Johnson listed as the favorite, but surprisingly, he is an underdog in one of his matchups. It was a tough week for some top players last week, including Rickie Fowler and it was also a tough week for our picks. We’ll look to have a big bounce back in the U.S. Open....
The second of golf’s four majors, the U.S. Open, gets underway on Thursday, with World No. 1 and defending champion Dustin Johnson listed as the favorite. This year’s tournament is being held at Erin Hills, just northwest of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The course has very few trees, difficult rough and a lot of bunkers, so it may have a links feel to it. The course is 7,693 yards, the second-longest for a U.S. Open, so the long hitters should have an advantage. Johnson is the favorite at odds of +625, while Rory McIlroy is the second choice at odds of +1215....
Rickie Fowler is favored to win the FedEx St. Jude Classic, which begins on Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee. It is the last PGA Tour event before next week’s U.S. Open and most of the world’s top players are bypassing this tournament. Fowler is the only player listed at single-digit odds, as he is listed at 8-1. Brooks Koepka is the second choice in the betting at odds of 12-1, while Adam Scott is listed at 14-1. We went 2-3 last week in our matchup picks, as Dustin Johnson had a rare bad week and let us down. We’ll look to get back on track this week with four plays, including one involving Fowler....
The last PGA Tour event before the U.S. Open is the FedEx St. Jude Classic at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. Most of the world’s top players are taking the week off to get ready for next week’s U.S. Open, but eight of the top 30 in the world are trying to buck history, as no winner of this event has ever gone on to win the U.S. Open the following week. Rickie Fowler is the only player ranked in the top 10 in the field, as Fowler is ranked No. 9 in the latest world rankings....
Dustin Johnson is favored to win the Memorial Tournament, as he is listed at odds of +595. Johnson has actually finished outside of the Top 10 in his last two events, with a tie for 12th at THE PLAYERS and a tie for 13th at the Byron Nelson. He is not expected to have an easy time this weekend, as a strong field is assembled for the Memorial Tournament, including Jon Rahm, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Adam Scott. It was a tough week for us with matchups last week, so we’ll look to bounce back with a strong weekend at the Memorial....
World No. 1 Dustin Johnson leads a strong field for the Memorial Tournament, which begins on Thursday at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. Six of the world’s top ten are expected to play and it would have been seven out of ten if not for a late withdrawal by Rory McIlroy. Johnson is listed as the favorite at odds of +650, while Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth are the co-second choices at odds of +1250....
Can Jon Rahm break the trend at the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational of first-time players not winning this event? Experience is critical at Colonial Country Club and no player making their debut in this tournament has won since Sergio Garcia in 2001. Oddsmakers believe that Rahm can break the trend as he is listed as the favorite at odds of +985. Sergio Garcia is the second choice at +1015, while defending champion Jordan Spieth is the third choice at +1215. We went 2-2 with our matchups last week, as Brooks Koepka let us down....
Jon Rahm and defending champion Jordan Spieth are co-favorites to win the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational, which gets underway at Colonial Country Club on Thursday. Eight of the Top 30 players in the world are in the field including Masters Champion Sergio Garcia. The odds are extremely top-heavy with Rahm and Spieth listed at +1250, while Garcia is at +1450. The odds go up to +2550 on the next three golfers. Let’s take a look at the field and some golfers to consider....
Dustin Johnson is favored to win the AT&T Byron Nelson, which begins on Thursday in Dallas. Johnson is the top-ranked player in the world and he is listed at odds of +425 to win the tournament. It should come as no surprise that he is a solid favorite in his two matchups this week, as he is up against Jordan Spieth and Sergio Garcia. Our winning streak in the matchups ended last week at THE PLAYERS, so we’ll look to bounce back with a great week at the AT&T Byron Nelson....
A strong field is assembled for the AT&T Byron Nelson, with four of the world’s top six players expected to compete. World No. 1 Dustin Johnson is the favorite to win this tournament which begins on Thursday, with Jordan Spieth and Sergio Garcia the co-second choices. Sergio is the defending champion, but history is not on his side, as the last player to defend the title was Tom Watson, nearly 40 years ago....
Golf’s unofficial fifth major, THE PLAYERS, gets underway on Thursday with the famous 17th island green in the spotlight. The world’s best golfers are in the field this week, led by World No. 1 Dustin Johnson who is listed as the favorite. Johnson came through for us last week in one of the matchups but he has not had any success in the past at THE PLAYERS. The winning streak for our matchups continued last week with a 2-1 record. Let’s take a look at this week’s matchups and picks....
One of the strongest fields of the year is assembled for THE PLAYERS at TPC Sawgrass, which begins on Thursday with world No. 1 Dustin Johnson listed as the favorite at odds of +725. A total of 24 of the top 25 players in the current world rankings are in the field, and 55 of the top 60. If you like value, then this is the week for you, as a number of players ranked in the top 10 in the world are listed at double-digit odds including world No. 10 Justin Thomas at +3868....
How many tee shots do you think will find the water on No. 17 at this week’s PLAYERS? That is one of the many props on the board for THE PLAYERS, which begins on Thursday, May 11 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. A number of props for No. 17 are on the board, in addition to other tournament props, so you can be cheering all weekend. World No. 1 Dustin Johnson is listed as the favorite to win the event, even though he has never played well at THE PLAYERS, with no Top 25 finishes in seven starts....
Dustin Johnson headlines the field for the Wells Fargo Championship which begins on Thursday in North Carolina. Johnson was last seen pulling out of the Masters with a back injury, but all indications are that he is completely healed and ready to go for this event. If true, he is the clear choice to win, as he comes into this event ranked No. 1 in the world and he has won his last three tournaments. We have been doing well with the matchups, as it was 3-1 last week for us at the Zurich Classic. Let’s look at this week’s matchups, odds and picks....
World No. 1 Dustin Johnson is a solid favorite to win the Wells Fargo Championship, which begins on Thursday. Johnson has not played since winning the WGC Match Play, as he pulled out of the Masters due to injury. If Johnson is at full strength he is the clear standout in this event, as he is the only played ranked in the Top 10 in the field and only five other players ranked in the Top 20 are in this tournament. Let’s look at this event which is taking place at Eagle Point Golf Club instead of Quail Hollow Club this year....
