The biggest weekend of the year for horse racing begins on Friday with a host of Breeders Cup races that will climax with the Sentient Jet Juvenile feature race which is the richest two-year-old race in North America and serves as a preview for the Triple Crown horse racing season that will follow next spring leading up to the Kentucky Derby. The Sentient Jet Juvenile has a purse of $2 million purse. But another $2 million purse will be on the line Friday with the Tito’s handmade Vodka Juvenile Fillies. Also, on the card are $1 million purse races with the Juvenile Turf, Juvenile Fillies Turf and the Juvenile Turf Sprint.

Sentient Jet Juvenile
This $2 million race will have all eyes upon it at 6:06 p.m. ET as it begins the long road back to Churchill Downs for the first Saturday in May and the Kentucky Derby. The distance will be 1 1/16 miles and is Grade 1 for the best two-year old’s in the world.
Game Winner is the big favorite at 2/1 followed by Complexity at 6/1, Mind Control at 10/1, Gunmetal Gray at 12/1, Well Defined at 12/1, Endorsed at 15/1, Mucho Gusto at 15/1, Ahead of Plan at 15/1, and Aurelius Maximus at 15/1.
Game Winner
The appeal of Game Winner begins with the fact that Hall of Fame Trainer Bob Baffert is in charge. Baffert is also a two-time Triple Crown winner that threw Game Winner right into the deep end of the pool for his first race, the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity. Game Winner took the wire going away for a spectacular start to his career. Three weeks later in the American Pharaoh Stakes, Game Winner won his second race in as many starts.
Complexity
The second betting choice for the Sentient Jet Juvenile is also undefeated. Complexity won his first race at Saratoga on September 3 before moving on to the Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park where he also picked up the win on October 6.
Mind Control
At 10/1 Mind Control may attract bargain hunters to the Sentient Jet Juvenile. After finishing second in his first race at Delaware Park, Mind Control posted back to back wins including the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga on September 3
Tito’s Handmade Vodka Juvenile Fillies
The Tito’s Handmade Vodka Juvenile Fillies will be run at 4:40 p.m. ET and is 1 1/16th miles in length as another Grade 1 race.
Bellafina is the 3/1 favorite to win the race followed by Serengeti Empress at 4/1, Sippcan Harbor at 8/1, Restless Rider at 10/1, Feedback at 12/1, Jaywalk at 12/1, Mother Mother at 15/1, and Vibrance at 15/1. As indicated by the odds this looks to be an even race.
Bellafina
Bellafina has already posted close to a half million dollars in earnings and has won her last three starts after finishing second in her debut race on July 4. In her last three starts Bellafina won the Sorrento Stakes at Del Mar, the Del Mar Debutante Stakes at Del Mar, and the Chandelier Stakes at Santa Anita Park. Trainer Simon Callaghan has stated clearly that Bellafina is the best filly he has ever trained.
Serengeti Express
Serengeti Empress has won her last two races including the Pocahontas Stakes at Churchill Downs on September 15. Prior to that on August 19 she was the winner of the Ellis Park Debutante Stakes at Ellis Park.
Sippican Harbor
Sippican Harbor has also won her last two starts including the Spinaway Stakes on September 1.

Bellafina in particular has the look of a very special horse. Callaghan has trained some of the very best and is looking at his first ever Breeders Cup win.
