On the whole summer Horse Racing is hitting its peak point of action. Tracks all across North America are offering continuous betting action. Saratoga – Saratoga Springs, New York – Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Wednesday opens the Saratoga week with 10 races. Featured will be the $85,000 Summer Colony Stakes. There are 10 races on the Thursday card. For the main event is the $100,000 New York Stallion Stakes. Friday offers 10 more races. Top billing is the Grade 2 $150,000 Saratoga Special.
Leading the Saratoga jockey standings is Joel Rosario with over $1.1 million in earnings. Rosario has 76 starts with 19 wins, 10 second, and 11 third place finishes.
Following is Irad Ortiz Jr at over $1.1 million in earnings. In 89 starts he has 18 wins, 16 second and 15 third place finishes.
Next is Jose L. Ortiz with over $1 million in winnings. Ortiz has 91 starts with 20 wins, 16 second and 15 third place finishes.
Christophe Clement is Saratoga’s top trainer with over $763,000 in earnings. Clement has 37 starts with 13 wins, five second and six third place finishes.
Second place trainer at Saratoga is Chad C. Brown with over $629,000 in winnings. Brown has 44 starts with eight wins, eight second, and 12 third place finishes.
Gulfstream Park – Hallandale, Florida – Wednesday and Friday
Wednesday and Friday each have 10 races scheduled at Gulfstream Park.
Edgard J. Zavas is top jockey at Gulfstream with over $2.4 million in winnings. Jaramillo has 513 starts with 84 wins, 82 second, and 63 third place finishes.
Emisael Jaramillo has rode to over $2.4 million in earnings. He has 487 starts with 82 wins, 69 second, and 60 third place finishes.
Miguel Angel Vasquez has over $2.1 million in earnings. Vasquez has 518 starts with 77 wins, 67 second, and 67 third place finishes.
Fourth place jockey at Gulfstream is Luis Saez with over $1.2 million in earnings. Saez has 233 starts with 49 wins, 38 second, and 32 third place finishes.
Monmouth Park – Oceanport, New Jersey – Friday
Friday offers 10 races from Monmouth Park.
Arlington Park - Arlington Heights, Illinois – Thursday and Friday
Both Thursday and Friday have eight races on the Arlington Park schedule.
Del Mar- Del Mar, California – Friday
Friday’s Del Mar schedule has a total of 11 races. The Grade 2 $150,000 Sorrento Stakes headlines the day.
First place in the Del Mar jockey standings is Flavien Prat with over $773,000 in earnings. Prat has 50 starts with 14 wins, 10 second, and six third place finishes.
Laurel Park – Laurel, Maryland – Thursday and Friday
On Thursday and Friday there are 10 races on the Laurel Park card.
