Tampa Bay – Oldsmar, Florida – Tuesday and Wednesday
Tampa Bay Downs will have a total of eight races on the card for Tuesday with 10 more races scheduled for Wednesday. There are four top jockeys at Tampa Bay that have stood apart from the crowd at the current meet.
Antonio A. Gallardo has won over $1.6 million in earnings with 535 starts, 122 wins, 84 second, and 70 third place finishes.
Second place at Tampa Bay in the jockey standings is Samy Comacho with over $1.6 million in winnings. Comacho has 457 starts with 92 wins, 74 second, and 72 third place finishes.
Daniel Centeno is third in the Tampa Bay jockey standings with $1.5 million in earnings. Centeno has 436 starts with 99 wins, 80 second, and 70 third place finishes.
And the fourth-place jockey at Tampa Bay is Pablo Morales with over $893,000 in winnings. Morales has 268 starts with 61 wins, 47 second, and 25 third place finishes.
Trainer Gerald S. Bennett has been the best at Tampa Bay with over $785,000 in earnings. Bennett has led 272 horses to the starting gate with 61 wins, 49 second, and 44 third place finishes.
Gulfstream Park – Hallandale, Florida – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
Gulfstream Park will have a total of eight races on the card for Tuesday with 10 more races scheduled for both Wednesday and Friday. Gulfstream Park also has a strong core of jockeys with five dominating the current meet.
First place jockey Edgard J. Zavas has over $1.7 million in earnings with 402 starts, 60 wins, 65 second, and 48 third place finishes.
Second place in the Gulfstream jockey standings belongs to Emisael Jaramillo with over $1.6 million in earnings. Jaramillo has 361 starts with 52 wins, 49 second, and 40 third place finishes.
Miguel Angel Vasquez has over $1.4 million in earnings which is good for third place. He has 388 starts with 54 wins, 46 second, and 44 third place finishes.
Fourth place in the jockey standings is Luis Saez with over $1.2 million in earnings. Saez has 233 starts with 49 wins, 38 second and 32 third place finishes.
And in fifth place is Irad Ortiz Jr. with over $1.1 million in winnings. He has 138 starts with 41 wins, 37 second and 20 third place finishes. Most important of all Ortiz has a track best win percentage of 30%.
Belmont Park – Elmont, New York – Thursday and Friday
Thursday will feature nine races on the Belmont Park card including the $100,000 Mount Vernon. On Friday there will be 10 more races scheduled featuring the $80,000 License Fee.
Irad Ortiz Jr. leads the Belmont jockeys with over $1.5 million in earnings. He has 82 starts with 27 wins, 12 second, and nine third place finishes. His win percentage of 33% is far above any other rider.
Woodbine – Rexdale, Ontario, Thursday and Friday
Thursday at Woodbine means eight races on the card with nine more races set for Friday.
Leading the Woodbine jockey standings is Rafael Manuel Hernandez with over $555,000 in earnings. He has 80 starts with 16 wins, six second, and 11 third place finishes.
