Entering the final weekend of the 2023-24 NBA regular season every team will be in action on Friday, April 12 giving NBA parlay enthusiasts a plethora of options to build a winning card. It also gives me another chance to make up for last week’s horrible NBA parlay. One loss on a three-team wager kills the entire ticket but three losses inflict serious damage to the psyche. It’s happened before and if you continue to play NBA parlays it will assuredly happen again. That doesn’t soften the blow, though.
With playoff positioning still up for grabs there is plenty for several teams still to play for. The Boston Celtics clinched the best overall record in the Association last week and will host the Charlotte Hornets at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Cs aren’t letting up either dismantling Portland on Sunday despite nothing being at stake. Keep an eye on the Philadelphia 76ers now that Joel Embiid is back in the lineup. They won five straight and look to climb into the top 6 thus avoiding the play-in tournament. We know the top 10 teams in the West but the standings are a jumbled mess. The Warriors entered the week as the 10th seed but were only three games from No. 6.

I’m going to close the season with a bang on my four-team NBA parlay looking to make up for last week’s debacle. Not only are the Celtics the best team in the NBA they’ve been profitable in their home games cashing out 57 percent of the time. However, there’s bound to be a letdown after matchups with Milwaukee and New York, and with this being the second of a back-to-back. The Cs will pick and choose spots to rest players and this is a good one. And with the Hornets spotted a healthy number on the betting line and with nothing to lose they’ll stay within the spread, just like they did a few weeks ago.
The game between Indiana and Cleveland is huge in terms of playoff seeding with both trying to capture a top 6. The Cavs are scuffling at a bad time dropping four of five on a recent road trip and Donovan Mitchell isn’t at full strength. But they get their final three games at home, including this one, allowing them to regroup. Offense has been affected the most with an ill Mitchell and the Cavs have tried to pick up the defensive intensity. They’ll need an effort like they had in a 108-103 road win against Indiana last month and I expect them to deliver keeping the score UNDER the total.
The Lakers had won nine of 10 before falling to Minnesota on Sunday and still they sat as the ninth-seed. They are within spitting distance of the top 6 and beating a depleted Memphis squad long since eliminated will help. The Lakers were without LeBron James in the Wolves game and Anthony Davis exited early with an eye injury. With those two expected back we should an efficient offense that’s put up big numbers over the past month and against Memphis this season. The teams cashed the OVER in each of their three earlier meetings with the Lakers winning and covering twice. I might pull out of backing the Lakers and the OVER is AD isn’t available, but even then it looks like a good wager.
