The St. Louis Blues are fighting for their playoff lives. St. Louis is battling with the Nashville Predators for the final Western Conference wild card spot, with the Minnesota Wild, Seattle Kraken, and Calgary Flames right on their tail. St. Louis has lost three of its last four games and has subpar metrics of 24th for goal scoring and 17th for goals against. Detroit is 15-8-5 in home games and has nine payouts in its last 13 games. The Red Wings rank 6th in goal scoring, and that firepower should be the difference.
The New York Rangers have provided strong value on road ice with a record of 17-9-3. By contrast Philadelphia is a less than reliable 14-12-2 on home ice. The Rangers have seen the payout window in nine of their last 11 games. Meanwhile, the Flyers have dropped seven of their last ten outings. The Flyers rank 22nd for goal scoring, and that lack of production is a problem against strong defensive teams like New York. The Rangers will offer more value as a quality road team.
The Maple Leafs have offered gamblers the most value on the road, with a record of 16-6-6. Toronto has caught fire recently, with nine payouts in its last 11 games. Toronto ranks 4th for goal scoring, and that offensive ability keeps them in every game. However, the Leafs rank 18th for goals against, which is a killer for their Stanley Cup hopes. Colorado is one of the best home ice values on the board. The Avs are 22-5 at Ball Arena. The Avs are the number one ranked goal scoring team in the NHL. Colorado has three payouts in its last four games. The Avs will get a better-than-normal home ice price because of Toronto’s popularity with gamblers.
The Anaheim Ducks are out of the playoff race and are struggling with only two payouts in their last six games. The Ducks are a 200-foot bad team with metrics of 29th for goal scoring and 27th for goals against. So far, the Kings are enjoying a sugar rush under new head coach Jim Hiller. Los Angeles has six payouts in its last seven games and ranks 3rd in the NHL for goals against.
