FC Dallas MLS Betting
FC Dallas put together its best season since winning the 2016 MLS Cup in 2022. They finished third in the Western Conference standings during the regular season, and they advanced to the conference semifinals before falling to rivals Austin FC. However, the oddsmakers don’t like their chances to compete for an MLS Cup in 2023, as FC Dallas is 25-1 by the soccer betting odds before the start of the season.

FC Dallas 2023 Preview
Jesus Ferreira was named the 2022 MLS Young Player of the Year and was selected to the MLS Best XI at just 22 years old. Ferreira has been awesome the last couple seasons, netting eight goals with nine assists in 2021 before his breakout 2022 campaign saw him tally 18 goals and six assists. This very well could be his last season in the MLS as he has been linked to Napoli and other major European clubs and could be one of the most expensive transfers in MLS history.
This attack will be one of the best in the MLS as long as Ferreira is on the roster. Paul Arriola is coming off a strong 2022 season that saw him net 10 goals and seven assists in his first year in the Metroplex, and midfielder Paxton Pomykal can help set things up in the midfield. In the offseason, the mandate was to improve in the back, and FC Dallas should be better after signing Geovane Jesus and Sebastien Ibeagha.

FC Dallas was one of Major League Soccer’s original franchises. The team was originally named the Dallas Burn back when they started in 1996, but they changed their name after the 2004 season. Unfortunately, the name change has not brought them any closer to that elusive MLS Cup that their fans have been yearning after since the franchise’s inception.
Originally, FC Dallas played at the Cotton Bowl. However, like many of the other early franchises, they soon realized that playing in a massive football stadium in the heart of Dallas would not give their home games a great atmosphere. FC Dallas was able to move into a soccer-specific stadium, Toyota Stadium, in 2005, and that gave the club’s home games a boost.
Although this club has not been able to win an MLS Cup, they have been able to nab two U.S. Open Cups. FC Dallas first won the U.S. Open Cup in 1997, becoming the second MLS franchise to do so after DC United. It took 19 years for them to add a second title, but they were able to hoist the trophy again in 2016. To win that cup, they had to outlast the Oklahoma City Energy of the United Soccer League in penalties, and then knocked off four straight MLS teams to win it all. They won the Supporters’ Shield for the one time in franchise history that year too.
