New England Revolution MLS Betting
Maybe the New England Revolution’s 2021 campaign was a flash in the pan. New England had been a middle-of-the-pack team in the Eastern Conference for several seasons before the Revs went 22-5-7 and won the Supporters’ Shield as the team with the best regular season record in the league two years ago. That led to a lot of optimism coming into the 2022 campaign, but the Revolution regressed and failed to make the playoffs. Bruce Arena is still installed as the manager, and the front office is hoping that last year was just a hiccup.

New England Revolution 2023 Preview
There’s a lot to like about the New England Revolution ahead of the 2023 campaign. Carles Gil is still on the squad, and the 2021 MLS MVP is on the right side of 30. Gil has been one of the main playmakers in the league over the last few seasons, and he will have another weapon to work with after the Revs added Latif Blessing in a trade. Blessing joins a very deep set of forwards that also includes USMNT players Bobby Wood and Jozy Altidore alongside top scorer Gustavo Bou.
The back line is expected to be better too, and that should really help this club considering the Revs have a potentially elite goalkeeper in Djordje Petrovic. New England added Dave Romney to help shore up the defense, and this unit is experienced with six players that have at least 100 caps.

Always the bridesmaid, but never the bride. That encapsulates the history of the New England Revolution. The Revolution were one of the original Major League Soccer franchises, but they have just two pieces of silverware to their name. New England won the 2007 US Open Cup and claimed the 2021 Supporters’ Shield as the club that finished with the best record in the regular season.
They have been around for over two decades, but they have yet to win an MLS Cup. New England has made it to the MLS Cup Final five times in its history, and all five times the club came up just short, finishing as the runner-up. The Los Angeles Galaxy beat the Revs in the final three times, while the Houston Dynamo knocked them off twice. Four of those five games were level at the end of regulation too, increasing the agony for New England.
The Kraft Family own the Revolution, but they have not had nearly as much success as the New England Patriots. That has led to criticism over the years, as they have the second-worst all-time record of the original MLS franchises.
