The roster for Tiger Woods' TGL team has been announced, and Woods has rounded out his team with one of the game's rising stars, one of its most popular players, and one of its wittiest. Tom Kim, Max Homa, and Kevin Kisner will join Woods on his Jupiter Links GC team when the tech-infused golf league kicks off this year.

“I have already shared my excitement and optimism for TGL as a league and product,” Woods, who is part owner of Jupiter Links Golf Club and co-founder of TMRW Sports, said in a release. “Now that we have finalized our roster with a team of world-class golfers, I am even more confident that this group will proudly represent the Jupiter area and connect with our fans for years to come.”

With Woods as the franchise frontman, Jupiter Links GC will draw plenty of interest, merch sales, viewers, and betting action. David Blitzer is a key investor. He owns the Utah Royals, Real Salt Lake, Philadelphia 76ers, and the New Jersey Devils.

Tiger Woods: has 82 carer PA Tour wins, 15 major wins, and rocks five green jackets for winning the Masters Tournament five times. In one way, Woods is a bit of an unknown going into the season, given how little competitive golf he has played lately. Still, most observers suspect he will thrive in this environment given that his most difficult task – actually walking around the golf course – has been mitigated by playing indoors at SoFi Center.

Woods in addition to being the greatest iron player and probably the best putter in golf history—is an elite course manager. He will be invaluable to this team when it comes to decision-making. Players will be able to interact constantly throughout matches and discuss nearly every shot with one another.

Woods should be amazing at this, and his teammates will totally buy into everything he says. Woods' genius touches every part of golf, and nobody enjoys talking golf more than Woods.

Hopefully, he will assume a part-coach, part-teacher, part-guru role within JLGC, and we will get him and Homa or him and Kim talking about how to hit held-off 4 irons into an island green.

Zero-That is how many TGL players will attract a bigger audience than Woods. He is the most compelling figure in golf history, and gamblers are ecstatic to tune in and watch him hit different types of golf shots in what will be a brand-new environment for everyone.

Max Homa: has six PGA Tour wins and was the 2021 Genesis Invitational winner. Homa remains one of the best iron players in the game and has an underrated short game. In a lot of ways, he’s a facsimile of what Woods was when he was playing some of his best golf. That is not to say that Max Homa is Tiger Woods, but that, at least stylistically and from the perspective of their skill sets, they are similar.

Tom Kim: has three PGA Tour wins and seven international wins and was the 2021 Korean Tour Player of the Year.

Kevin Kisner: has four PGA Tour wins and two Presidents Cup appearances for the US Team.

TGL matches will take place over 15 holes and two sessions. Players will hit full-swing shots off grass, rough, or sand into a simulator screen. Short-game shots under 50 yards and putts will take place inside the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, on a rotating, adjustable green.

Enhanced simulator golf matches will last roughly two hours and will take place primarily in primetime on Monday or Tuesday nights from January through March. There will be 15 regular-season matches, a four-team playoff, and a best-of-three final that will crown the first TGL champion.

Matches will be played over 15 holes and split up into two playing formats. The first session will see teams work together in an alternate shot-style format before transitioning to singles matches for the second session. The team with the most points at the end of the match will win. Similar to hockey, TGL match wins are worth two points, overtime losses are worth one point, and regulation losses are worth zero points.
