Tiger Woods will be in action on Tuesday, January 14th when the Jupiter Links Golf Club takes on the Los Angeles Golf Club in the second match of the 2025 TGL Golf season. Tiger is part of the Jupiter Links Golf Club team along with Max Homa, Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner. They will be battling against the Los Angeles Golf Club team that has Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose and Sahith Theegala. The Los Angeles Golf Club team is listed as a -176 favorite in TGL odds at BookMaker for this match that can be seen on ESPN beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, January 14th at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Three players from each team will battle in a 15-hole match with nine holes of Triples and six holes of Singles. When the action begins on Tuesday, the players will be playing Triples which is an alternate-shot format with players taking turns from hole-to-hole and rotate hitting shots until the hole is completed. In Singles, players will go head-to-head in six Singles holes.

Each player on the team will play two Singles holes. Every hole is worth one point unless a team uses the “Hammer.” The team with the most points wins the match. The Los Angeles Club will start with the “Hammer.” When a team plays the hammer the stakes of the hole go up by one point. The other team then gets control of the Hammer and could play it again making the hole worth three points or hold it for later. Teams can decline the Hammer but if they decline, they concede the hole unless the Hammer was thrown before the first tee shot on a hole and then they have no choice but to accept. Matches go to overtime if tied after 15 holes. The teams would then compete in a best two-of-three closest to the pin competition.

Singles Matchups

Holes 10 and 13 - Justin Rose vs. Tiger Woods

Somewhat surprisingly, these two players have never met head-to-head in a Ryders Cup match. Neither player is in their prime but both have shown the ability to still play well so this looks like it will be a competitive match.

Holes 11 and 14 - Collin Morikawa vs. Kevin Kisner

These two will be an interesting contrast, as Morikawa hits the ball farther but Kisner is known as a great putter. The 11th is a long 535 par 4 where Morikawa may have the edge. The 14th is a par-3 that could give Kisner the edge.

Holes 12 and 15 - Sahith Theegala vs. Max Homa

These two will play the long par-3 12th hole and then they have the monster par 5 15th hole where both players could put on a show with their driving distances.

Fast Facts

Tiger was part of the broadcast for Week 1 in the match between New York and The Bay. All players will be wearing microphones for all of the action throughout the season. In the first match, the Hammer was a factor on only two holes and both were par 3’d.

The Bay picked up two points on the 3rd hole and the teams tied on the 7th hole.
