TGL Match 4 - Jupiter Links GC vs. Boston Common Golf Betting
The fourth match of the TGL Golf season takes place on Monday, January 27th with Jupiter Links Golf Club taking on Boston Common Golf. This will be one of the most anticipated matches of the TGL Golf season since it will feature Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. Those two are co-founders of TGL Golf and their teams will go against each other in Week 4 of TGL Golf and Tiger and Rory will play each other in one of the three singles matches. Rory’s Boston Common Golf team will be playing their first match of the season, while this will be the second match for Tiger’s Jupiter Links Golf Club team. It was ugly for Tiger and his team in their first match, as they were routed 12-1 in Week 2 by Los Angeles Golf Club. Oddsmakers have taken notice, as Boston Common Golf is listed as more than a 2-1 favorite in Week 4 TGL odds. The Week 4 TGL match can be seen on ESPN beginning at 6:30 p.m. Eastern on Monday, January 27th at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Three players from each team will battle in a 15-hole match with nine holes of Triples and six holes of Singles. The TGL course is about the size of a football field and has real tee boxes, real fairway surfaces, real sand and putting surfaces that change on each hole. Shots are hit into a giant golf simulator screen which is more than 20 times larger than a normal golf simulator screen.

When the action begins on Tuesday, the players will be playing Triples which is an alternate-shot format with players taking turns from hole-to-hole and rotate hitting shots until the hole is completed. In Singles, players will go head-to-head in six Singles holes. Each player on the team will play two Singles holes. Every hole is worth one point unless a team uses the “Hammer.” Boston Common Golf will start this match with the Hammer. When a team plays the hammer the stakes of the hole go up by one point. The other team then gets control of the Hammer and could play it again making the hole worth three points or hold it for later. Teams can decline the Hammer but if they decline, they concede the hole unless the Hammer was thrown before the first tee shot on a hole and then they have no choice but to accept. Matches go to overtime if tied after 15 holes. The teams would then compete in a best two-of-three closest to the pin competition. The team with the most points wins the match.
Match 4 Team Lineups
Jupiter Links Golf Club: Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner, Tiger Woods, (Max Homa not playing)
Boston Common Golf: Keegan Bradley, Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, (Hideki Matsuyama not playing)
Singles Matches
Tiger Woods vs. Rory McIlroy – Holes 10 & 13
Tiger Woods +180
Rory McIlroy -215
The featured match on Monday night will have Tiger vs. Rory. The two have combined to win 19 major championships. They have played just one previous singles match and it was Woods beating McIlroy at the 2019 WGC-Match Play. They will play the 10th hole which has become a fan favorite and they will also play No. 13.
Kevin Kisner vs. Adam Scott – Holes 11 & 14
Kevin Kisner +186
Adam Scott -240
Kisner was an absolute disaster for Jupiter in their first match. He went 0-2 in the two Singles holes and looked completely lost. Scott will have the advantage in driving distance and that should help him on the 11th hole which is a par 4. It was thought that Kisner would have the edge on par 3 holes, but he was terrible no matter what the distance last week. Kisner and Scott will also play the 14th hole which is a par 3.
Tom Kim vs. Keegan Bradley – Holes 12 & 15
Tom Kim -112
Keegan Bradley -108
There is no question that the Jupiter team badly missed Kim last week. Kim should be their best player and he will definitely help. It may not be easy in this match though, as Bradley is playing well. In fact, Bradley has played as well, or better than Kim of late in PGA Tour events. Bradley may have the edge on the 12th hole which is a par 3. The advantage for Kim might be on the 15th hole which is a par 5.
Fast Facts
In the first three matches of the TGL Golf season the par-3 holes have been the most important. The three winning teams, The Bay Golf Club, Los Angeles Golf Club and Atlanta Drive GC went unbeaten on the par 3 holes. They had five wins and 10 ties on the short holes. You would think that Jupiter would do well on short holes, as their team ranks first on the PGA Tour in combined birdie-or-better rate.
