Utah State Aggies National Championship Odds
The Utah State Aggies are in the NCAA Tournament once again, this time as a No. 10 seed. Utah State will face the Texas Tech Red Raiders in NCAA Tournament first round action on Friday, March 19. The Aggies were considered a bubble team, but they went on a good run in the Mountain West tournament and reached the title game. That was enough for the NCAA Tournament committee to give them an at-large bid. The Aggies have one of the most dominant centers in the country in Neemias Queta, who was the conference defensive player of the year. He averaged a double-double in Mountain West play in 2020-2021.
2020-21 Utah State Aggies at a Glance
National Championship Odds: +30000 (March 15)
On Friday, March 19, 2021, the Utah State Aggies face the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana. Tipoff time is 1:45 p.m. ET with television coverage on TNT. Texas Tech is a 4.5-point favorite and the total is listed at 131.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders enter March Madness with a record of 17-10. They went 9-8 in the Big 12 Conference and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. You may remember the Red Raiders, as they lost in the NCAA Championship Game two years ago. This year’s team looks nothing like that squad, as Kyle Edwards is the only player of note from that squad. Texas Tech still plays the same way, with great defense, but they don’t have a lot of offensive options. Mac McClung leads the offense, as he averaged 15.7 points per game. How far Texas Tech goes depends largely on how well McClung plays.
