Mendes vs McGregorUFC Betting Online: If you’re looking for the best advice for UFC betting, you’ve certainly come to the right place. Here at Bookmaker sportsbook we’re previewing UFC 189, which will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2015, at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring Conor McGregor, Chad Mendes, Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald.

Conor McGregor will aim for the interim UFC featherweight title when he faces off against Chad Mendes to highlight the action at UFC 189. The event will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2015, at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. McGregor was originally supposed to face title-holder Jose Aldo, but Aldo was forced to pull out of the fight with a rib injury. McGregor is the -160 favorite on the money line while Mendes is listed as the +135 underdog. The over-under on number of rounds this fight lasts is set at 2½, with even odds on each side in UFC betting.

Conor McGregor has a career record of 17-2 with 15 wins by knockout and one apiece by submission and decision. He enters on a 13-fight winning streak, which has set McGregor up with a chance at the championship belt. He is undefeated in five bouts since joining the UFC, including a second-round knockout of Dennis Siver most recently on January 18th, 2015. McGregor is the favorite to keep that streak going and claim the interim title, with a matchup against Aldo next on the docket.

Chad Mendes was the late replacement, which could put him at a disadvantage for training. Mendes is 17-2 with eight decisions, seven knockouts and two submission victories. He is ranked as one of the top featherweights in the world, so it would not be a huge surprise if he pulls off the upset to claim the interim title. Mendes has won six of his past seven fights, with the lone defeat in that time coming to Aldo for the featherweight title on October 25th, 2014. He rebounded last time out with a first-round knockout of Ricardo Lamas in April to set himself up for this fill-in opportunity.

This is the headliner, but there will also be four other main card and six preliminary card fights at UFC 189. Another intriguing matchup is the UFC welterweight title fight between Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald. MacDonald is the -175 favorite in that contest while Lawler is listed as the +150 underdog. Both main fights have pretty close odds so they could be exciting headliners of UFC 189 in UFC betting.
