Vitor Belfort faces off against Dan Henderson for a third time at UFC Fight Night 77 on November 7th, 2015 at Geraldo José de Almeida State Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Belfort comes into this fight in Brazil as the -346 favorite while Henderson is a +272 underdog in MMA gambling.

UFC Fight Night 77 marks the third meeting between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson and the first two were not without excitement and controversy. Henderson won the first meeting between the pair in October 2006 by unanimous decision. After the fight, Belfort tested positive for 4-hydroxytestosterone, a banned substance suspected of boosting testosterone levels, and was fined $10,000 and suspended from the sport for nine months. The two met again in November 2013, where Belfort won by knockout in the first round with a head kick. The performance earned Belfort the Knockout of the Night award.

Belfort is 24-11 in his career and has won 17 fights by knockout. He started his career as a heavyweight fighter, but moved to middleweight in 2008 where he currently competes. In his most recent bout on May 23rd for the UFC Middleweight Championship, Belfort fell to Chris Weidman in the first-round by technical knockout. He will be eager to get back in the winning column in Brazil, especially against Henderson, an opponent which he has a storied past. The 38-year-old will be stepping into the octagon for the second time in 2015 against Henderson after not fighting at all in 2014. He had three wins in 2013, defeated Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping by knockout in addition to Henderson.

Dan Henderson has a record of 31-13 with 15 knockout victories. He rebounded from a two-fight slide on June 6th with a first-round knockout win over Tim Boetsch. Henderson has lost five of his last seven bouts, with his only other win coming via third-round technical knockout against Maurício Rua in March 2014. A win here against Belfort would be a big boost for Henderson at this point in his career.

Another bout of interest at UFC Fight Night 77 is between light heavyweights Glover Teixeira and Patrick Cummins. Teixeira is -335 favorite in that one, with Cummins coming in as the +275 underdog. Teixeira is 23-4 in his career with 13 of those wins coming by knockout. In his most recent bout on August 8th, the 35-year-old defeated Ovince St. Preux by technical submission. He lost two in a row before that — falling to Phil Davis in October 2014 and to Jon Jones earlier last year in April. Cummins is 8-2 with four knockout wins. He has gone 1-1 in his last two outings, losing to St. Preux in April 18th and then defeating Rafael Cavalcante by technical knockout in the third round on August 1st in MMA gambling.
