UFC Women's Strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk looks for her tenth straight win as she defends her title against Jessica Penne at UFC Fight Night: Jedrzejczyk vs. Penne on June 20th, 2015 at O2 World in Berlin, Germany. Considering her spotless record and proven dominance in the octagon, Jedrzejczyk will be favored in UFC odds.
Current champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has a record of 9-0 and puts her undefeated record on the line in Berlin. Jedrzejczyk is looking for her second win of 2015, having already beaten Carla Esparza in a second-round knockout on March 14th of this year where she won the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship. This fight against Pane will mark Jedrzejczyk’s first defense. The 27-year-old also has recent wins against Claudia Gadelha, Juliana de Lima Carneiro, Rosi Sexton and Karla Benitez, with all of those wins coming in 2014.
Jessica Pane is 12-2 with two knockouts. The 34-year-old is riding a two-fight winning streak with her latest win coming on December 12th when she defeated Randa Markos by split decision. Pane also took down Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc in a first-round submission in July 2013. The American fighter has gone 8-2 in her last ten bouts.
Also on the main card is the featherweight fight between Dennis Siver and Tatsuya Kawajiri. Siver is 22-10 with one no contest. The 36-year-old will be eager for a win after falling in a second-round technical knockout to Conor McGregor on January 18th in his most recent time out. Siver’s most recent win was against Charles Rosa by decision last October. Kawajiri is 33-8-2 and will also be looking for a win after suffering the loss to Clay Guida by decision in his latest fight on April 11th, 2014. Before his loss to Guida, Kawajiri won six bouts in his row including a second-round submission win over Sean Soriano on January 4th, 2014.
This event in Berlin was originally slotted to feature the light heavyweight showdown between Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira as the headliner, but Gustafsson pulled out of the matchup last month due to an injury in UFC odds.
