Football Betting Online: The Atlanta Steam were the 14th ever team in the history of the Legend's Football League. They were supposed to start play in the 2008 season, but when the then-Lingerie Football League never kicked off, the franchise more or less was forgotten. Atlanta only basically got an LFL franchise by chance. The city of St. Louis was supposed to be a franchise in 2012, but after negotiations with the arena fell through, the team moved to Infinite Energy Arena in Gwinnett just outside of Atlanta where it has been ever since.
The Steam opened up their first season at 2-1-1 in four games, and they made it to the postseason in their inaugural campaign. They were taken out in the first round of the postseason by Philadelphia in a 28-20 loss. The interesting fact about that game is the game a few weeks earlier was cancelled, awarding both teams a tie.
In 2014, Atlanta was once again tremendously success. The club had a game cancelled that season as well in the regular season, but it went on to go 3-1-1 in five games. The Steam won their first round playoff match against Jacksonville and went on to the LFL Championship Game against Chicago. The Bliss came up with a 24-18 victory to send the Steam home packing.
The Bliss ended up getting the best of Atlanta once again last year. The Steam finished 3-3, getting into the playoffs in their last game of the year when they beat up Omaha with a whopping 71-13 victory, the biggest triumph in the history of the franchise. However, once the team got into the second season, it was beaten again by Chicago in a bad 41-6 defeat.
Dakota Hughes, one of the best quarterbacks in the history of this league, is a three-year star for the Steam, and she'll be one of the key cogs in this lineup once again for Atlanta in 2016.
