Football Betting Online: The Legends Football League is doing the best it can to expand their horizons and bring their brand of women's football all over the country. Texas is a state which makes all the sense in the world to try to expand to, and the city of Austin has been the home to a number of project teams over the years. Though none of the teams have necessarily worked all that well, the Austin Acoustic are going to give it their best shot as an LFL expansion team in the 2016 season.
The Acoustic actually don't play in Austin, though. Instead, they play up the road in Cedar Park at the Cedar Park Center. The distance between the two cities is 20 miles.
The LFL probably has a reasonable chance of succeeding in Austin simply due to the fact that the whole state is crazy about its football. There have been real challenges in Omaha with the Heart trying to find players who are capable of sticking around with the girls who have had all sorts of experience in this league, but Austin feels like it has a better shot of finding 20 ladies to take the field than most other cities.
Quarterback Teshay Winfrey is set to be the captain of this club as its quarterback for the 2016 season. Unlike some of the other expansion teams who are playing with ladies who have never played under center before, Winfrey has had some history playing pivot in some of the lower level rec leagues in women's football in Texas. She'll obviously have a learning curve to deal with knowing that she and the mass majority of her teammates have never played the indoor game before, but if there's a team which can get over the hump out of nowhere, the Acoustic would be the one.
