European Tour Golf Betting Odds: If you’re looking for the best advice for golf odds, you’ve certainly come to the right place. Here at Bookmaker sportsbook we’re previewing the BMW Masters, which will be held from Thursday, November 12th through Sunday, November 15th, 2015 at Lake Malaren Golf Club in Luodian, Shanghai, China, featuring Marcel Siem, Justin Rose, Jamie Donaldson and Rory McIlroy.
Rory McIlroy has been impressive in the past at the BMW Masters, and after missing last year’s tournament, could be one of the favorites if he decides to return in 2015. The tournament will be held from Thursday, November 12th through Sunday, November 15th, 2015 at Lake Malaren Golf Club in Luodian, Shanghai, China. McIlroy is one of the two best golfers in the world alongside Jordan Spieth and is always a threat to win in golf odds.
Rory McIlroy won the inaugural BMW Masters in 2011 by shooting an 18-under 270. He was forced into a playoff against Anthony Kim and was able to outlast Kim for the championship. McIlroy was back in contention in 2012 by shooting a 20-under 268, but Peter Hanson outdueled him that time by a stroke. Hanson’s 21-under set a course record which hasn’t been beaten since. McIlroy wasn’t able to return in 2014 as he needed the time to concentrate on a lawsuit he was embroiled in, and it’s unknown if he will be in the field this year. If so, McIlroy will be tough to beat based on his track record here as well as his standing in the PGA Tour.
Marcel Siem took advantage of McIlroy’s absence to win last year’s BMW Masters. He shot a 16-under 272, holding off Ross Fisher and Alexander Levy in a playoff. Even though McIlroy wasn’t in last year’s draw, Siem still outdueled plenty of impressive golfers. Jamie Donaldson and Justin Rose came in a tie for fourth place at 15-under, while Darren Fichardt, Branden Grace and Graeme McDowell were some of the other top-tier golfers in contention.
Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano was trying to repeat as the champion at the BMW Masters but didn’t fare very well, finishing in 43rd place at 2-under. He won the 2013 tournament with a score of 11-under 277. He held off Francesco Molinari and Thongchai Jaidee by one stroke. Even if he returns, Fernandez-Castano isn’t expected to be one of the favorites, as there should be other more accomplished golfers in the field.
Jordan Spieth hasn’t usually been a participant at the BMW Masters, but he is having a dominant stretch, and if he does enter the fray he will automatically become the player to beat. There are better odds for McIlroy to return, and if he does, he will aim for a second career title at the tournament in golf odds.

How to bet on BMW Masters
The odds of a golfer to win the BMW Masters will generally look something like:
Tiger Woods + 150
Phil Mickelson + 250
Steve Stricker + 300
Jeff Overton + 700
Ernie Els + 700
Field + 600
These betting odds will be lower when betting on a golfer to finish in the top three, as the sportsbook must pay off three different winning bets.
A player would have to bet $10 to win $150 that Tiger Woods will win the BMW Masters, while the bettor wagering on Jeff Overton stands to win $70 on their $10 wager.
Another commonly placed bet in European Golf golf is head-to-head finish between two players. With this bet, a player doesn't really care what place the golfer finishes in, as long as the golfer wagered on finishes higher than the other golfer.
A head-to-head betting line for the BMW Masters will look something like:
Tiger Woods - 190 Steve Stricker + 150
In this bet, players wagering on Woods to finish higher than Stricker will be asked to risk $19 to win $10, while bettors believing that Stricker will finish higher than Woods will bet $10 to win $15.
Those familiar with sports betting will have no trouble making the transition to European Golf golf wagering, while those new to the world of sports betting should be able to pick up the concepts of European golf betting without to much trouble.
