2014 Lyoness Open Winner - Mikael Lundberg wins Lyoness Open
Mikael Lundberg ended a six-year title drought with a gutsy 40-foot putt in a playoff against Bernd Wiesberger to win the Lyoness Open on Sunday.
The Swede birdied the first playoff hole to deny Wiesberger a second victory at his home event after 2012. It was Lundberg's third European Tour title after winning the Russian Open in 2005 and 2008.
Lundberg, who made three birdies in a row on his way to a 65, and Wiesberger, who shot 69, were tied at 12 under after the fourth round.
Defending champion Joost Luiten, who teed off the final day with a two-shot lead over Wiesberger, carded a par 72. The Dutchman finished third, one stroke off the lead.
England's Lee Slattery, who was second after Friday's play, scored 66 to finish another stroke back in fourth.
2013 Lyoness Open Winner - LUITEN WINS LYONESS OPEN FOR SECOND EUROPEAN TOUR TITLE
Joost Luiten of the Netherlands won the Lyoness Open by two shots Sunday for his second European Tour title.
Luiten, who entered the day with a three-stroke lead, shot a 71 to finish at 17-under 271 on the Diamond Country Club course.
The victory was Luiten's third European Tour top-10 finish of the season and 20th overall. The win will raise his world ranking from 137th to just inside the top 100.
Thomas Bjorn of Denmark (68) finished second at 15 under. Liang Wen-chong of China (66) and Romain Wattel of France (69) shared third, another stroke off the pace.
Luiten bogeyed the first hole but led throughout the day. His closest challengers after the third round, Spaniards Jorge Campillo (72) and Eduardo de la Riva (73), failed to threaten.
2012 Austrian Open Winner - Local boy Wiesberger snatches win in Austrian Open
Local hero Bernd Wiesberger shot a seven-under 65 on Saturday's final day to snatch the Austrian Open after a major loss of form by Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen, the star of the first three rounds.
Wiesberger finished 19-under on the course at Atzenbrugg, near Vienna, three shots clear of Irishman Shane Lowry and Thomas Levet of France after sinking seven birdies in the last 10 holes – including from a 50-foot putt on 18.
It was Wiesberger's second European Tour title of the year following his triumph at the Ballantine's Championship in April, and he becomes the second Austrian to win his home Open after Markus Brier in 2006.
Rain drenched the opening day on Wednesday, forcing a suspension, and organisers called off play on Thursday over fears of lightning.
However, summer returned on Friday and Saturday with lots of sunshine and just a light breeze.
Olesen, who had topped the leader board on days one, two and three, saw the magic disappear in the final round, hitting a two-over 74 and bogeying three of the last five holes to finish five behind in fifth place at 14 under.
2011 Austrian Open Winner - Kenneth Ferrie claims play-off glory in Austrian Open
Kenneth Ferrie came through a play-off with fellow Englishman Simon Wakefield to lift the Austrian Open in Atzenbrugg on Sunday.
The 32 year-old from Newcastle held his nerve to lift a third European Tour title, adding to his wins at the Canarias Open de Espana in 2003 at the Smurfit European Open in 2005.
He sealed the win on the 18th hole, being afforded two putts to do so despite his initial drive going wide of the fairway while Wakefield's landed on it.
Wakefield, last year's qualifying school champion, over-hit his second shot into the rough at the back of the green and, after Ferrie had recovered with a beautiful second to within seven feet of the pin, the rest was a formality.
It had so nearly been a three-way play-off, with Holland's Joost Luiten dropping a shot on the par-four 18th to fall out of contention on 11 under.
