Today, we'll take a look at Brazil and its odds of winning this top South American competition.
Brazil has played in three knockout round matches in major tournaments over the course of the last two calendar years. It was beaten up 7-1 by Germany in the semifinals of the World Cup, then was taken down by the Netherlands 3-0 in the third place match. Those results weren't the end of the world, but getting eliminated in Copa America by Paraguay in the quarterfinals last year in Chile was a result which really started to bother Brazilians.
Now, without its captain and best offensive threat Neymar, Brazil will have to figure out how to get over the hump in Copa America Centenario.

BRAZIL PROFILE
Odds To Win Copa America: +350
Team Nickname: The Green and Yellow
Head Coach: Dunga
FIFA World Ranking: 7
HOW THEY GOT HERE
Brazil has steadily been falling in the FIFA rankings for a while now, and that's a bad indication for a club which has such high expectations. Finishing fourth in the World Cup in 2014 was an epic failure, and though the Olympics at Rio de Janeiro are important, this tournament is looked upon as a greater benchmark considering the fact that its senior team will be matched up against some of the best teams in South America and in CONCACAF.
Though the results in recent matches haven't been bad for Brazil, they haven't been alarmingly good either. The team is just 2-3-0 in its last five duels dating back to when World Cup qualifying started for 2018 in October. The wins were emphatic, and a couple of the draws were forgivable, but drawing 2-2 at Paraguay on March 29 should definitely cause Brazilian fans to scratch their heads and sweat a little bit.
KEY PLAYERS
With Neymar not being allowed to play in this tournament due to Barcelona wanting to limit him to either Copa America or the Olympics and Robinho completing falling out of form over the last couple years, we're not sure where Brazil is turning for goals.
Hulk and Roberto Firmino seem to be the most likely options out of the attackers, while Casemiro and Douglas Costa could put together some nice games out of the midfield to infuse some youth into a team which doesn't have a ton of that.
Keep an eye on Kaka as well. We're not sure whether he will or will not get the call to the roster for Copa America, but we know that he's going to have a following, particularly since he's playing for Orlando City in the MLS as the club's captain. It just so happens that the Brazilians are playing in Orlando in their second match against Haiti.
COPA AMERICA ODDS ANALYSIS AND QUICK PICK
Brazil might be the most overrated team in the world right now. Of course, no one is going to give this team much in the way of trouble in Group B, and we find it to be a foregone conclusion that it'll get through that group with a minimum of seven points.
It's after that we're just not sure. If Dunga's team can get some confidence from the early matches, Brazil could go on a nice run. What we find to be more likely though, is that the Brazilians will coast through the opening stage and wonder what in the heck they'll have to do in order to take out either the United States, Costa Rica or Colombia in the last eight.
Though there's plenty of talent here for Brazil, that talent seems concentrated at the back at this point. Diego Alves might keep a relatively clean net, but that doesn't mean he'll ultimately turn into the winning goalie at Copa America Centenario. If the Brazilians can't figure out how to consistently keep their offense going, they could be in a lot of trouble when the matches are for keeps in the quarterfinals just as was the case last year in Chile in this same tournament.
