A huge matchup of ACC heavyweights, top teams in the Big 12 squaring off, and four games in the SWAC highlight Monday’s college basketball schedule. The ACC is annually the toughest conference in the country and this year is no exception. The Virginia Cavaliers have lost two games this season and they are currently third in the league standings. That’s what happens when you have to play Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, Syracuse, yada, yada, yada.
The Cavs’ only two losses have come against Duke, the latest on Saturday. Now they have to travel to UNC with a minimal break. That could be a good thing to get rid of the stench of that 10-point loss. But the Heels are always tough in the Dean Dome and they are 9-1 in league play for the first time under Roy Williams.
BookMaker.eu will have college basketball odds and live betting options for every game on the Monday schedule.

Monday Best Bets
Virginia at North Carolina
The Cavs make a living and win a lot of games with the stingiest defense in the land. When it isn’t working the results can be disastrous. It didn’t work on Saturday when they allowed Duke to land a barrage of three-pointers, shoot better than 57 percent from the floor and score 81 points in a 10-point victory. UNC doesn’t have the talent that Duke has, but the Heels aren’t that far off. And they can score a bunch of points themselves.
The Heels have the second-highest scoring team in the country at over 88 points per game and UVA will be exhausted after a draining loss and having to travel with just one day off in between games. I like the Cavs, but they aren’t the best team in the ACC, and they probably aren’t the second or third best. They were exposed by Duke and if the Cavs get in a track meet they will lose since they don’t have the firepower to compete. UNC will attack and they will score, making the home team the best bet to come out on top.
Kansas at TCU
The Jayhawks’ stranglehold on the Big 12 will come to an end if they can’t win on the road. Their inability to do that has them and the rest of the conference looking up at Kansas State. There is hope that KU can continue its run atop the league with a home game against the Wildcats in two weeks. But the Jayhawks have four of their remaining seven games on the road and they’ve lost their last four away from Allen Fieldhouse. Losing at K-State is acceptable since the Cats are a good team. But losses at Texas and the nightmare at West Virginia have us wondering about this team.
KU beat Oklahoma State over the weekend with four freshmen in the lineup. It was a move necessitated by the departure of senior Lagerald Vick, who took a leave of absence for personal reasons. That loss will hurt more on the road and I have to side with TCU in this one, especially after a narrow loss on the Jayhawks’ home floor when they gave the game away.
Oklahoma at Baylor
You can’t determine the outcome of a future game on the results of a past encounter. But Baylor’s thorough thrashing of the Sooners a few weeks ago in Norman is hard to overlook. The Bears can jump right back into the hunt with a win and they are looking to end a two-game slide. All they have to do is look at film of their 77-47 win over OU.
This one will be closer since 30-point victories in the Big 12 are rare. But Baylor is hoping to have Makai Mason and King McClure back on the court after the pair sat out Saturday’s loss to league-leading K-State. Having those two back in the rotation makes Baylor the best bet on the college basketball line.
