The Boilermakers had issues with Indiana through the first 12 minutes of the first half. Once it finally tied the game at 21, it looked like it would run away and hide outscoring the Hoosiers 16-4 to take a commanding 37-25 lead into the break finding the team well ahead of the CBB odds. After scoring the first bucket of the second half, things took a dramatic turn for the worst with the Boilers allowing Indiana to rattle off 14 straight points.
After briefly reclaiming the lead, PU watched as Indy scored 14 more points before the Boilers scored its next bucket. At that point, the team found itself trailing 53-42 and never recovered before falling 73-58 as what turned out to be laughable 4-point road favorites. The defense allowed Indiana to score 48 second half points and convert at a near 52 percent clip for the game.
UCLA at Purdue Same Game Parlay Picks
It’s crazy to fathom right now, but only a few short weeks ago Purdue sat perched atop the B1G standings with comfortable leads over both Michigan schools as well as Wisconsin. Now, the Boilermakers are staring up to Sparty 2.5-games out with only three games remaining on the regular season docket. The thought of winning back-to-back-to-back regular season crowns is likely cooked due to the late-season four-game losing streak. However, it still has a shot to land a coveted top-four seed which would earn the team a double bye in the upcoming B1G tournament.
Though the rest advantage is nullified for both teams with each coming in on five-days rest, I can’t help but think a determined group of Boilers take to their home hardwood looking to put the Bruins in the rearview and snap the losing streak. UCLA has been nothing special on the B1G road (4-4 SU & ATS) with the best win coming at Oregon at the beginning of December. Purdue is the better balanced team in this matchup and its ability to dominate both in the paint, from beyond the arc, and free throw line leads me to believe they score the margin win.
