College Basketball Betting – Wednesday Best Bets

College Basketball Betting

If you’re looking to make some coin, Wednesday’s college basketball schedule offers plenty of opportunities with a full slate of action. The mid-major conferences take over the day with six games slated in Conference USA while the Southland Conference and A10 have five games on the docket.

The day won’t lack for intrigue, though, as a few ranked teams are in action. LSU looks to maintain its share of the SEC lead with a matchup against the Gators in Gainesville. Meanwhile, Marquette will attempt to end a two-game slide and keep pace with Villanova with a Big East clash against Seton Hall. Some of the top games on the schedule are listed below.

BookMaker.eu will have college basketball odds and live betting options for every game on the Wednesday schedule.

Wednesday Best Bets

Clemson at Notre Dame

There hasn’t been much fight in the Irish this season. They’ll take a five-game losing streak and a 3-13 ACC record into their tussle with Clemson. The Tigers are just 7-9 in league play and sitting on the bubble with a 17-12 overall mark. They need wins in order to look good, though beating the Irish isn’t going to help their Tournament cause. Clemson never had a chance at the game-tying or game-winning shot against UNC, turning the ball over in the finals seconds of an 81-79 loss. It was the fourth time this season the Tigers lost on the game’s final play.

You are what your record says you are, but Clemson is probably the most unlucky team in the ACC and maybe college basketball. Five of their losses have been by eight points or less and three of their last four defeats were by a combined four points. We can’t explain that other game when the Tigers suffered a 13-point setback to Florida State. Both teams are challenged in the scoring department giving some value to the under, and Clemson will take out some of its frustrations against a dreadful team.

Marquette at Seton Hall

Just a week ago the Golden Eagles were perched at the top of the Big East standings and ranked among the top-10 in the country. Things have changed quite a bit after back-to-back losses. Marquette still has a chance to secure the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament and get some momentum leading up to the NCAA Tournament. And the problems that plagued them in those losses are a matter of better concentration. They coughed up the basketball 18 times in a loss to Villanova and gave it away 22 times in falling to Creighton.

Value the basketball and let Markus Howard do his thing has been the success recipe for the Golden Eagles this season. Howard has done his job and recently the team hasn’t. The Pirates are in their own funk having lost three in a row and they’ll end the season at home, but that isn’t a good thing. The Hall is 9-4 at home and just 3-10 ATS. I’ll throw down on Marquette to get back in the game.

Oregon State at Washington

The conference of champions will not add another title this basketball season. The last hope of the Pac-12 in the national rankings was dropped when the Huskies were upset by Cal as an 11.5-point road favorite. A narrow victory over Stanford the next outing didn’t instill much confidence in the Pac’s leader and the league is without a top-25 club.

Getting back to the Pacific Northwest is what will shake UDub from its slumber. The Huskies are undefeated at home and as the runaway leader they probably got a little complacent. That will change on Wednesday and I’ll take the home team minus the points against a team the Huskies easily handled earlier this season.
