Meanwhile the resurgent Iowa Hawkeyes will host a Northwestern Wildcats team that has regressed since making their only NCAA Tournament bid in 2017 in a key Big Ten matchup. Meanwhile two Big Ten bubble teams will be in a death match on Sunday as the Indiana Hoosiers host the Ohio State Buckeyes.

#25 Cincinnati Bearcats at #12 Houston Cougars, 4 p.m. ET, ESPN
Few teams have brought as much value to the college basketball betting board as have the Houston Cougars. Houston has come away with the cash in five of their last six games and has lost only six out of 16 home games vs. the odds this season. Sampson has engineered one of the best defenses in the nation that ranks seventh for points allowed, second for shooting percentage against, and third for three-point field goal percentage against. Cincinnati has dropped five of their last nine against the board and is 3-4 vs. the line in away games. The Cougars have covered two straight games against Cincinnati. And on their home court Houston has covered four of their last six against the Bearcats with all four games staying under the total. Houston looks quite good in this spot.
Northwestern Wildcats at #20 Iowa Hawkeyes, 6:30 p.m. ET, BTN
Head coach Fran McCaffery was derided after a highly disappointing season last year in which the Hawkeyes failed to gain a March Madness bid for the second consecutive season. Many fans wanted him fired but a hefty long-term contract made that practically impossible. But McCaffery looks much better now with his team coming away with the cash in seven of their last nine games. Four of Iowa’s last six games have gone over the total. Iowa boasts one of the best offenses in the country and is powered by forward Tyler Cook’s 16.4 points and eight rebounds per game. Meanwhile Northwestern is in free fall with just two payouts in their last nine games and a road record of just two covers in six matchups. An inept offense ranked 298th in the country for scoring is the major culprit for the Wildcats. Iowa has totally ruled the cashier’s cage at home in their series against Northwestern. In fact, the Hawkeyes have covered five consecutive home games against the Wildcats. With both teams going in opposite directions Iowa should be a strong play here.
Ohio State Buckeyes at Indiana Hoosiers 1 p.m. ET CBS
Indiana was wallowing in relative anonymity before their 79-75 upset win at Michigan State as 13.5 point dogs. But IU went right back in the tank with a 77-72 home loss to Iowa in the game that followed. In his second year on the job head coach Archie Miller has begun to understand just how difficult this rebuilding job is going to be. On the other hand, the Ohio State Buckeyes have been winning ugly but winning nonetheless. OSU is currently a bubble team at 15-7 straight up. The Buckeyes asset is a defense ranks 39th in the nation for points allowed. Offensive help for OSU comes from forward Kaleb Wesson and his 15 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Indiana’s inept offense should find scoring difficult. Further, the Hoosiers have been a dreadful value at home with just two covers in their last 10 home games. Ohio State’s defense should come away with the sack of cash in this one!
