Coach Rick Pitino’s St. John’s program is living up to preseason expectations. St. John’s is coming off a recent power win at Villanova and has gotten the cash in eight of their previous ten games. But Creighton will not be an easy out, especially at home. Yet the Bluejays have failed to cover five of their last seven games. St. John’s will get the better price and value as the quality away team in top form.
The Kansas Jayhawks will host the Oklahoma Sooners at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, KS. Tipoff time is 2 p.m. ET, with television coverage on ESPN+.
Upon his arrival at OU, Porter Moser was met with high expectations. Moser beat the odds consistently at Loyola Chicago, where he produced a Final Four and Sweet 16 in his final four seasons. But public awareness is picking up on Oklahoma. The Sooners failed to cover three of their previous four games. Yet, with national metrics of 41st for scoring offense and 20th for points allowed, OU rates as a complete team.
Kansas has only one payout in its last six games. The Jayhawks are one of the biggest public brands on the college basketball board. And that popularity with casuals and squares consistently drives down their value.
In this situation, Oklahoma offers superior value as the quality away team.
The Duke Blue Devils will host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, NC. Tipoff time is 5 p.m. ET, with television coverage on ACC Network.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets failed to pay in four of their most recent five games. Now that ACC games are on the docket, the Jackets have shown lesser value and ability. Tech’s national rankings of 247th for scoring offense and 242nd for points allowed are scaring way bettors.
Despite its name brand, Duke has shown strong value. Consider that Duke got the cash in six of its last seven games. The Blue Devils rank an impressive 38th out of 350 Division I teams for scoring offense and 51st for points allowed.
Although the price will be high in this spot, Duke is the superior team that is in much better form vs. the linemakers.
The Auburn Tigers will host the LSU Tigers at Neville Arena in Auburn, AL. Tipoff time is 6 p.m. ET, with television coverage on SEC Network.
LSU has only five payouts in its last 14 games. The Bayou Bengals' rebuild out of the ashes of scandal will take time.
Auburn is the standard of the SEC. Coach Bruce Pearl’s Tigers are keeping gamblers happy with only one loss to the spread in their most recent eight games. War Eagle ranks 26th for scoring offense and 46th for points allowed.
