It was a rough 2-3 ATS showing for last Saturday’s College Basketball parlay picks. Iowa State kicked it off by pissing away a substantial early lead and 5-point halftime lead by getting outscored 38-22 in the second half to fall 61-50 at home – against Oklahoma of all teams! Then Texas Tech fell into a huge early hole only to fight all the way back to take a brief lead before losing 83-82. The cherry on top proved to be the Texas Longhorns who like Iowa State burst out of the gates only to run out of gas and never have a shot of winning or covering against Baylor – with Keyonte George knocked out just six minutes in. Thankfully, our final two selections showed up with Mississippi State holding serve at home against Texas A&M and North Carolina crushing Virginia in the “Dean Dome.” Let’s see if we can’t crush the final loaded Saturday slate of the college basketball betting season and cash in a couple parlays at the online sportsbook!

Texas A&M Aggies
In coming back from 17 down to defeat the Auburn Tigers on Wednesday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide won the 2023 SEC regular season title. There is no more work to be done. The top seed in next week’s SEC Tournament is theirs. As such, I don’t expect the team to bring much of anything to the hardwood in its final true road game of the year against an Aggies outfit that would dramatically improve its NCAA Tournament seeding with a Quad 1 win over Bama. While Texas A&M also doesn’t have much to play for with it locked into the No. 2 seed, Buzz Williams’ kids have a shot to go unscathed at home in SEC play. That’s something Wade Taylor IV and his mates will no doubt be gunning for and I’ll be financially invested in it coming to fruition.
Arkansas Razorbacks
I don’t know about you, but I still have high hopes for the Hogs in the upcoming SEC and NCAA Tournaments. Eric Musselman’s squad is loaded with talent that’s only just recently been able to get its groove back with a healthy Nick Smith Jr. rounding into form. Arkansas already pounded this underachieving Kentucky squad 88-73 as 5-point road dogs without his services back on February 7. It did so by shooting an absurd 63 percent from the field with only four makes converted from beyond the arc. The Hogs ate KY-Jelly up in the paint all game long, and I’m expecting more of the same in the regular season finale. Sweeping the rivalry could result in bouncing Kentucky out of the No. 4 seed provided Mizzou holds up its end of the bargain. Look for Arkansas to put the Tigers in a position to do just that!
Utah State Aggies
As it stands right now, the Mountain West is expected to send three teams to the NCAA Tournament - San Diego State, Nevada, and Boise State. Utah State currently finds itself on the outside looking in per Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology. I think that’s blasphemous considering KenPom has Ryan Odom’s squad ranked No. 35 in the country. Still, Steven Ashworth and his mates did themselves no favors by failing to log a single Quad 1 win through four tries. Boise State represents its final chance to do so heading into the MWC Tournament. Provided the Aztecs hold serve at home against a Wyoming team it’ll be favored to defeat by 16+ points, the Broncos will be locked into the No. 2 seed regardless of how this game plays out. Boise State has very little to play for while USU has everything to play for in hopes of improving its Big Dance stock. With the Aggies getting pounded 82-59 in the first meeting, I expect them to go all out with the intent of returning the favor.

Ohio State +210 vs. Michigan State
Pittsburgh +7 vs. Miami

Ohio State Buckeyes
The Ohio State Buckeyes are a riddle wrapped around an enigma. For the life of me I can’t fathom how Chris Holtmann’s squad has only won 13 of 20 played games with the amount of talent it has on the roster. As it stands right now, Brice Sensabaugh and Co. are nowhere in line to snag an at-large bid to the dance. It for all intents and purposes must win the Big Ten Tournament to have any shot. Its quest to do so began last Sunday when it scored the 72-60 outright win as 4.5-point home dogs to Illinois, and was then followed up with a 73-62 pounding of Maryland on Wednesday to avenge an earlier season loss. They’ll have a shot to avenge another brutal loss from a few weeks back when it only scored 41 in a 19-point home loss to the Spartans. MSU is hot garbage in my opinion and it’ll be an inflated favorite in this spot. Take the two possessions with the Buckeyes if you like, but I’m hunting for the bigger payday!
Pittsburgh Panthers
Holy Schneikes did the PITT Panthers do themselves a major disservice on Wednesday night getting throttled by Notre Dame in a game that would’ve earned it at least a share of the ACC regular season title had it come out on top. We actually took the points with the Fighting Irish in that contest and came away with a care free winner. Though the Panthers are a veteran team, none of the players experienced pressure like that before as members of the program. Now that the reality check is in the past, I fully expect Blake Hinson and Co. to be ready for this rematch with the Canes after taking them down 71-68 as 1.5-point home dogs at the end of January. These teams match up exceptionally well with one another, so I don’t foresee either side being able to run away and hide. Should either get out to any sort of substantial lead, fire back on the losing side live. Hopefully we can snag Miami as a multiple possession dog at some point, then sit back and enjoy the free roll - I foresee this battle for bragging rights going down to the wire!
