Big Ten betting action takes center stage Friday night on FOX when the No. 14 Michigan State Spartans battle the No. 12 Michigan Wolverines from the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor. Tom Izzo added to his B1G wins record Tuesday night after handling the Purdue Boilermakers back home in the Breslin Center. Dusty May’s troops will have had four full days to prepare for this one last getting the best of the Buckeyes in Columbus on Sunday.
MSU swept the season rivalry from the Maize and Blue last season to move to 6-4 both straight up and against the spread in the last 10 meetings. Five of the last eight have played to low scorers for total bettors. Look for the crypto sportsbook to line the homebased Wolverines possession favorites on the College Basketball odds with the total lined around 150.

Michigan State Spartans
Trailing by seven midway through the first half, the switch flipped for the Spartans over the final 10 minutes allowing the home team to take a slim 33-31 lead into the break. Due to Purdue big man Trey Kaufman-Renn being marred by foul trouble throughout, Sparty was able to take advantage near the rack all game long. When it was said and done, Michigan State outscored the Boilers 42-24 in the paint to tally the 75-66 win and CBB odds cover as short 3-point favorites.
The Spartans put forth a balanced scoring attack with four players tallying double-digits and freshman Jase Richardson’s 12 points leading the way. MSU shot a blistering 58.3 percent from the field largely due to converting a multitude of shots near the rack. The defense had issues with TKR (24) and Braden Smith (17), but silenced everyone else to secure the win and cover.
Michigan Wolverines
The Wolverines upped their win streak to six straight on Sunday after going into Ohio State and scoring the nerve-racking 86-83 win and cover against the Buckeyes. The average margin of victory chimes in at just 3.2 points throughout the win streak equating to a horrid 1-5 ATS record. In fact, the weekend win over their hated rivals snapped an eight-game losing streak against the closing CBB betting lines after going off the board short 1-point underdogs.
Twin towers Danny Wolf and Vladislav Goldin continued to do their thing against the Buckeyes with the duo combining for 37 points and 21 rebounds. The latter came up with a huge offensive rebound and putback that allowed for Michigan to take an 84-80 lead with just under a minute remaining. It was part of the 46 points the offense scored in the paint, a crucial contribution given the Wolverines made just seven of their 21 three-point attempts.

Michigan State at Michigan Same Game Parlay Picks
Last year’s 73-63 home loss to the Spartans snapped a string of four straight games the Wolverines won and covered when hosting this rivalry in Ann Arbor. Along with seeking revenge for that defeat, Michigan also finds itself in the catbird seat of the Big Ten standings with a half-game lead over Michigan State due to playing one less game. Sitting unblemished at 12-0 in front of the hometown faithful, I fully expect the Maize and Blue to ride that home court advantage and get the job done in this first of two scheduled regular season meetings with the Spartans.
This one has white knuckled brawl written all over it! Both defenses excel at taking away what both offenses do best close to the rack, and neither is truly that great of a shooting team. Michigan ranks No. 14 in offensive field goal percentage largely due to their bigs routinely having their way down low. I don’t expect that to occur Friday night however with MSU ranked 63rd in defensive two-point percentage and eighth in perimeter defense. With the Wolverines showing a propensity towards winning and not covering, we’ll back them on the moneyline and pair it with the under.
