The Kansas Jayhawks’ long run as the regular season champion in the Big 12 ended this year, but the storied program has a chance to redeem itself in the conference tournament. Kansas is only the No. 3 seed but pick against the Jayhawks at your own peril, because this is still one of the most talented teams in the nation.
The oddsmakers are questioning if Kansas has what it takes to win the Big 12 tourney, as it has not been given the greatest odds. The Texas Tech Red Raiders were the co-champions of the conference in the regular season and will be the team to beat in the tournament.

Kansas finished the regular season with a record of 23-8 overall and 12-6 in the Big 12. The Jayhawks were ranked No. 1 in the country early in the year but fell off and didn’t win the conference for the first time since 2003-04. Iowa State is another team that hopes to be in the mix. The Cyclones finished the regular season with a 20-11 mark and 9-9 in conference. Iowa State has a pretty good path in the tournament and hopes to take advantage. The Cyclones’ odds are listed at +600.
The other teams with a chance at winning the Big 12 Tournament include the Baylor Bears and Texas Longhorns at +800 odds, while teams like Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU and West Virginia are longshots.
