The NBA regular season is coming down to its stretch run. The favorite is the team that everyone knew would be the team to beat when the year started, but the contenders have taken on a new look. Teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors are looked upon as two of the top squads hoping to knock off the powerful Golden State Warriors.
The Los Angeles Lakers were hoping to push for a title after signing LeBron James in free agency, but their odds of winning the championship are astronomically low as simply making the playoffs looks very unlikely at this point.
There is still plenty to be determined down the stretch, but here is a look at some of the main contenders to Golden State’s crown in NBA wagering.
We'll have NBA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game of the 2019 NBA season.
Odds Analysis
The Warriors may have started the season slowly but they are now atop the West and should have home court advantage all the way up to the Finals. Golden State has been dominant since adding DeMarcus Cousins to the mix and is listed at -200 odds to win yet another title.
The Bucks have the best record in the NBA and an MVP candidate in Giannis Antetokounmpo. They hope to go from middle of the road team to the finals all in one fell swoop. They are the favorites to come out of the East and have been locked in at +800 to win the championship.
The Raptors have been on Milwaukee’s heels all year and are not far behind when it comes to the title odds at +1200. Kawhi Leonard has made a big difference for this team, and Toronto added Marc Gasol at the trading deadline to gear up for the playoffs. Toronto has some nice value as it would not have to see the Warriors until the Finals playing in the East.
The Houston Rockets aren’t the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference but they have shaken off some major injuries and are beginning to round into form. James Harden has been great this year and he has some talented players around him. Houston could very well be the second-best team in the NBA by the time the playoffs get here, but playing in the West gives them odds of +1500 to win the championship.
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers are each on the edge of contention, listed at +2500 odds to win the championship. Oklahoma City has a pair of stars in Russell Westbrook and Paul George, but the supporting cast isn’t great. The 76ers have not been as dominant as hoped but has a fearsome starting lineup and is an interesting pick at these odds.
The Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets round out the list of true title hopefuls at +3000 apiece. Denver has put together an impressive season but the oddsmakers don’t believe in its ability to hang with the NBA’s elite in the postseason. Boston had higher hopes entering the year but has failed to find consistency.
The Lakers’ odds of winning the title are placed at +10000, and even that is a bit low considering how unlikely it is to happen.

The Warriors are odds-on favorites to win the championship but that is actually a pretty good price. The Rockets are not quite as fearsome as a year ago, while Golden State is deeper with the addition of DeMarcus Cousins.
Only one team can play them in the Finals out of the East, and whoever it is will lack big-game experience. The Warriors might be a boring pick but they are the right one in NBA wagering.
