The NBA playoffs are quickly approaching, and the Eastern Conference is shaping up to be an intriguing four-team race. The Golden State Warriors are the clear favorites in the West, but there is enough talent beyond them that it’s not a complete slam dunk that they advance to the NBA Finals yet again.
The postseason will be here before you know it, and the best teams have separated themselves. The odds are out for the picks to win each conference, and let’s take a look at some of the best wagers in NBA futures odds.

Odds Analysis
The Milwaukee Bucks have the best record in the NBA and are set to head into the postseason as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. That is a big deal, as it would give them the home court advantage in every round. Milwaukee has really exceeded expectations this year, and the team is clearly a true contender after so much success. The Bucks are listed as the team most likely to capture the Eastern Conference championship at +180 odds.
Milwaukee’s path is not easy, as it could have to face the Boston Celtics in the second round if the current rankings hold. The Celtics have not lived up to expectations this season but have a great collection of talent and may be able to turn it on in the playoffs. Boston’s odds are listed at +325.
The only other team besides the Bucks with better odds than the Celtics to win the East are the Toronto Raptors. They have been sitting in second place in the conference for the majority of the year, and the addition of Kawhi Leonard this offseason has them feeling optimistic about a deep run. Toronto’s odds are listed at +275.
The other team with a legitimate shot at winning the East is the Philadelphia 76ers. They have an elite starting lineup and have some experience after making the playoffs last year. Philly’s odds are listed at +325 like the Celtics. The rest of the teams in the East are considerable longshots.
In the West, the Golden State Warriors are listed as -300 favorites to make it to the Finals. The Warriors have been up and down this year and are currently tied with the Nuggets for the top seed in the conference, but everyone expects them to turn it on in the postseason.
The Houston Rockets are looked upon as the clear main contender at +500 odds. The Oklahoma City Thunder has the next-best odds but at +1200. The Nuggets have moved way up and are now listed at +1500. If Denver can grab the No. 1 seed and only have to play one of the Warriors/Rockets in the postseason, that would be a big-time help.

The East is harder to peg, but the way it is setting up, the Philadelphia 76ers are the best pick.
