NBA Basketball Odds - San Antonio Spurs at Toronto Raptors Game Preview

NBA Basketball Odds

The Toronto Raptors were sizzling hot heading into the All-Star Break, and are hoping the mini-vacation doesn’t affect that streak. Toronto has won six consecutive games to pull close to the Milwaukee Bucks for the best record in the NBA. The Raptors can keep the heat on by picking up a victory next time out when they host the San Antonio Spurs in a key showdown.

San Antonio is in the thick of a crowded Western Conference playoff race, two games from both the No. 4 seed and from falling out of the playoffs. Every game is crucial down the stretch and the Spurs would love to steal this upset in NBA odds.

This NBA basketball game between the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors will be held at ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, February 22nd, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

We'll have NBA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game of the 2019 NBA season.

Odds Analysis

The Spurs have a record of 33-26 on the season. They have been up and down of late, winning six of their past 10 games. San Antonio has not played well at all on the road this season with a mark of 11-19, which is certainly something to keep in mind when it comes to betting on this game.

The Raptors are 43-16 on the season, which is the second-best record in the NBA and just a game behind the Bucks in the East. Toronto has been fantastic at home this season with a mark of 24-5, and will be expected to add another win in this one.

Player Additions

The Raptors have geared up for the stretch run by continuing to stockpile talent. When they traded for Kawhi Leonard in the offseason, many expected Toronto to zoom into contender status, and that’s exactly what happened. They are trying to make the most of that opportunity and acquired both Marc Gasol and Jeremy Lin in recent weeks.

Gasol has played three games for the team and has contributed an average of 10.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest. Lin made his Toronto debut last time out and put up eight points, five rebounds and five assists. The Raptors have not lost since adding Gasol.

Player To Watch

DeMar DeRozan -- The Raptors sent DeRozan to San Antonio in exchange for Leonard this offseason. San Antonio is going to be a heavy underdog in this one, and DeRozan needs to play well in his former home arena to give his team a chance at pulling off the upset.

DeRozan is having a nice year, averaging 21.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. He is shooting 46.3 percent from the field and needs to be efficient. Toronto has a lot of very good individual defenders and DeRozan will have to work hard to get off quality shots.

The Spurs have talent and are healthier than they have been for much of the season. However, the Raptors have a great star trio in Leonard, Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka as well as some helpful reinforcements now that Gasol and Lin are on the team.

Toronto is a true contender and the Spurs are not quite at that level. While San Antonio should be able to hang around, the Raptors are the choice to win this game at home in NBA gambling.

NBA ATS Pick: Toronto Raptors 115, San Antonio Spurs 106
