The Miami Heat have a bunch on the line down the stretch as they aim to hold on to one of the final playoff spots in the East. They have a tough matchup on Sunday as they hit the road to face off against the Toronto Raptors. While Toronto is the better team and plays at home, it’s fair to wonder how much motivation there will be in this one as the Raptors are locked in to the No. 2 seed in the East. The Heat will be going 100 percent in this one, and that could be enough for a surprising road win. The odds suggest it is a great pick and would pay off handsomely.
The Oklahoma City Thunder will be on national television when it faces off against the Minnesota Timberwolves. OKC star Russell Westbrook loves the bright lights and will aim to put on a show. However, that isn’t always a good thing as he sometimes takes bad shots when trying to do too much. The Timberwolves play well at home and are going to be underestimated in this one. Minnesota is the pick on the moneyline, and the loss will be a big blow to a Thunder team which is trying to avoid finishing as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference heading into the playoffs.
The Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers both have a lot to play for down the stretch. The Nets need a strong finish to secure a playoff spot, while the Pacers are in a tight battle with the Celtics for the No. 4 seed in the East. Indiana has struggled of late and there is a question if this team can be a true playoff contender without star Victor Oladipo. But those are questions for another day. Indiana should have no problem taking care of business in this one at him and is also the pick to cover the spread.
