NBA Basketball Odds - Toronto Raptors at Milwaukee Bucks Game 5 Preview

NBA Basketball Odds

The Western Conference Finals may have been a sweep, but we’ve got a good series in the East. The Toronto Raptors held court with a pair of home wins in Games 3 and 4 to knot their series with the Milwaukee Bucks at two games apiece.

The pivotal Game 5 is up next back in Milwaukee as both teams are only two victories away from the NBA Finals. The Bucks are the solid favorites to take care of business in this one and re-take the lead in the series. The Raptors, though, looked good in the past two and an upset win would put them in the driver’s seat to win the East.

There is a ton on the line in this game and both teams will be feeling confident in NBA gambling.

This NBA basketball game between the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks will be held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at 8:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.

Odds Analysis

The Bucks are listed as the seven-point favorites in Game 5. They are the -290 favorites on the moneyline while the Raptors are the +237 underdogs to pull the upset. The scoring total is listed at 218 points.

The Raptors were actually slight home underdogs in Game 4 but cruised to the win and easily covered. The “over” hit on the total in NBA odds.

Last Time Out

The Raptors used a strong second-quarter to take control and kept their foot on the gas after intermission in a 120-102 win. Kyle Lowry finished with 25 points, six assists and five rebounds to lead the way, and if he can play like that in Game 5 Toronto should be able to stick close. Kawhi Leonard added 19 points, seven rebounds and four steals while Serge Ibaka had a big game with 17 points and 13 rebounds off the bench.

The Bucks were led by Khris Middleton. He had 30 points, seven assists and six rebounds while shooting 11-of-15 from the field. However, he did not have a lot of help. Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks but nobody else on the team scored more than 11 points in the contest.

Key Stat

1. That’s the number of times the Bucks lost two games in a row during the regular season, and now they are facing that in the playoffs. Milwaukee finished with the best record in the NBA to secure the top seed in the Eastern Conference, and get the home court in Game 5 as a benefit of that.

The Bucks are the better team but it’s fair to wonder if they have any doubt about themselves at this point. Milwaukee should be able to shake off these two straight losses but it is in rare territory. The Bucks might need to come up with a better game plan against Leonard, as the constant double teams against him are leaving too many other players open.

Free NBA ATS Picks

The Bucks did not look too good in Game 4 but they have the more talented team and should get back on track in this one. Each team has won at home in every game of this series and the trend will continue next time out.

The Bucks are the pick to win the game, but look for the Raptors to cover. The “over” is the pick as there should be a good pace in this one in NBA gambling.

NBA ATS Pick: Milwaukee Bucks 114, Toronto Raptors 109
