The Philadelphia 76ers looked like a different team in their Game 2 matchup against the Toronto Raptors, tying the series with an impressive showing. This Eastern Conference semifinals showdown will now move to Philadelphia with the all-important Game 3 up next.
The 76ers were able to get the split in Toronto, which means they now have the home court advantage. Philly will aim to take care of business in this one and put the pressure on the higher-seeded Raptors. The second game was a nip-and-tuck affair late and the talent level of these teams is close so this could be another that comes down to the wire in NBA gambling.
This NBA basketball game between the Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

Odds Analysis
With the series switching over to Philadelphia, the oddsmakers have moved the spread and made the 76ers the favorites. Philadelphia comes in at minus-1.5, and is listed at -120 on the moneyline. The Raptors are the slight +100 underdog on the moneyline to pull the upset and regain control of the series.
The scoring total is listed at 215 points. The “under” easily hit in Game 2 as Toronto had some real issues scoring in NBA gambling.
Last Time Out
Jimmy Butler scored 30 points and added 11 rebounds as the 76ers took a big lead into halftime and then held off the Raptors down the stretch for the 94-89 victory. The Philadelphia defense was impressive, holding Toronto to only 36.7 percent shooting. Danny Green had a chance to tie the game with a three-pointer in the waning seconds but he missed, and Philly squeaked out the road upset.
Raptors star forward Kawhi Leonard scored 45 points in the opener between these teams and had another big one here, finishing with 35 points, seven rebounds and six assists. However, he did not get enough help and the 76ers made some big shots late to grab the upset win.
Injury Report
Philadelphia star center Joel Embiid had a stomach flu which forced him to miss shootaround before the start of Game 2. He was able to play but finished the contest with only 12 points and six rebounds. Embiid shot only 2-of-7 from the floor but made a huge lay-up with only 24 seconds remaining to give Philly a three-point lead.
Embiid should be all clear of the sickness for Game 3, which is important as he has vaulted into one of the best big men in the NBA and is a big reason for all of the 76ers’ success this year. Embiid has also dealt with a variety of knee injuries throughout his career but should be all good to go for this one.
Free NBA ATS Picks
This is a tough series to figure out, as both teams have shown their strengths and weaknesses in stretches. The 76ers are still a young team, and the home court advantage could really help them out.
Look for Simmons and Embiid to have big games at home to help their team to a crucial victory. The scoring should pick up in this one, so consider the “over” in NBA odds.
NBA ATS Pick: Philadelphia 76ers 111, Toronto Raptors 107
