The Los Angeles Clippers are the most pleasant surprise of the NBA through the first quarter of the schedule, as they are keeping pace with everybody in the Western Conference. The Clippers are short on superstar talent but the team has come together beautifully as it hopes to compete for a playoff berth. The Clippers will hit the road this week for a matchup against another better-than-expected team in the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings are over .500 on the year and would also love to be a surprise playoff participant. The season is still young and there is time for things to go off track, but for now each team is riding high. The Clippers have been the better team this season but the Kings have the home court advantage so it should be an interesting showdown in NBA wagering.
This NBA basketball game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings will be held at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California at 10:30 p.m ET on Thursday, November 29th, 2018. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.

Odds Analysis
The Clippers have a record of 12-6 on the season, which is tied for second-best in the Western Conference behind only the Golden State Warriors. Los Angeles has been dominant at home but has captured only four of nine games on the road.
The Kings are 10-9 on the year and they have gone 5-3 at home thus far. Sacramento has long been a lottery team but seems to finally be turning the corner this season. The Clippers and Kings are both among the highest-scoring teams in the NBA so this one could have a high scoring total in NBA odds.
Key Stat
13. That’s the number of assists Kings guard De’Aaron Fox has distributed in two of the team’s past three games. In the other one he dished out nine dimes as Fox is quickly ascending into a star player. He is averaging 18.2 points per game and 1.2 steals in addition to the 7.7 assists.
Sacramento has gotten several different players to step up this season, including Buddy Hield and Willie Cauley-Stein, but it is the progress of Fox which is the most exciting. If he continues on this path and the rest of the players give him some help the Kings could stay in the race for the playoffs all year.
Fox’s shooting has been up and down lately and he will need to be efficient in order for Sacramento to take care of business in this one.
Player To Watch
Montrezl Harrell -- The Clippers power forward doesn’t even start but he is a huge piece of the equation. Harrell is averaging about 25 minutes of action per night and has been ultra effective when on the floor. He leads the team with 1.8 blocks and 1.1 steals per game while also adding 15.9 points and 7.2 rebounds.
Harrell does a lot of the little things that teams need that aren’t necessarily super flashy. Harrell is shooting 65.4 percent from the field and his efficiency has been a huge plus as the team has some volume shooters at guard.

This is quite the interesting matchup between a pair of overachievers. What the Kings and Clippers lack in star power they make up with in production. This should be a competitive affair, with the home court advantage the big key. Sacramento is the choice to come away with the win. Look for Fox to lead the way as Los Angeles will have a tough time slowing him down. Keep an eye on the spread because the Clippers could still cover if they are the underdogs in NBA gambling.
NBA ATS Pick: Sacramento Kings 122, Los Angeles Clippers 120
