NBA Betting - Milwaukee Bucks at New York Knicks

The Milwaukee Bucks are putting the pressure on the Raptors for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, and another win on Tuesday over the New York Knicks can ratchet it up even more. Milwaukee has looked like one of the best teams in the NBA all season long and grabbing the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs would greatly help its chance of advancing to the NBA Finals. Even though it is early, every victory means something and the Bucks will aim to grab a road win.

Milwaukee is the superior team so the Knicks have to hope the home court advantage will allow them to be competitive. This is a Christmas Day affair on national television so both sides should be amped up to perform well. If the Bucks play up to their potential they should be able to win this game and continue on an encouraging path in NBA wagering.

This NBA basketball game between the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York at 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, December 25th, 2018. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

Odds Analysis

The Knicks have a record of just 9-24 on the season. They have not performed particularly well at home with a mark of 4-10 there. New York has one of the worst point-differentials in the NBA and even in the East it has little chance of making it to the playoffs.

The Bucks are on the opposite end of the spectrum as they are 21-9 on the season. Milwaukee has not been dominant on the road with a record of 7-6 but should still be the solid favorite to capture this win. The Knicks give up a lot of points and the Bucks score plenty so this could be a high-scoring affair in NBA gambling.

Injury Report

Rookie shooting guard Allonzo Trier has been a bright spot for the Knicks but he is dealing with a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined for multiple games and may not be available for this matchup. Trier is averaging 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest.

He is shooting 47 percent from the field when his ability to make shots from the outside was one of the main concerns coming into the NBA. Keep an eye on Trier’s availability for this contest.

Player To Watch

Giannis Antetokounmpo -- The Bucks have assimilated to one of the league’s best teams in large part because Antetokounmpo has turned into an MVP candidate. He is having an outstanding year, averaging 26.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.

Antetokounmpo was a pure athlete coming into the NBA but has really refined his game. He is shooting 59 percent from the field as teams have a lot of trouble slowing him down. Antetokounmpo is turning the ball over a little more than desired but that is basically his only drawback at this point.

If the Knicks are going to have any chance at pulling off the upset in this matchup, they will need to keep Antetokounmpo from dominating.

Free NBA ATS Picks

It’s never a given for a road team to win a matchup, but the likelihood is high that the Bucks do so in this one. They are on the short list of best teams in the NBA and have a bonafide superstar leading the way.

Antetokounmpo could flirt with a triple double in this game because Milwaukee will score plenty of points. The Bucks are the pick to both win this game and cover the spread as well in NBA gambling.
