It’s time to break out that crystal ball, or the magic eight ball if you can’t afford the fine stuff. That’s because the 2019-20 NBA season is fast approaching and the new campaign offers bettors a bunch of savory futures options. The field is no longer tilted toward one team with the Golden State Warriors suffering a few losses and injuries. If you had the Dubs representing the Western Conference on your finals matchup ticket the last five seasons you were half way to a winner.
No longer are the Warriors the overwhelming pick from the West. The balance of power has shifted down south with the Lakers and Clippers the favorites to win the conference. Adding last year’s Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and Paul George has the Clips at the top of the Finals matchup odds board against Milwaukee at +500. The Bucks were the only team in the Association to win 60 games last year and they also boast MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Clips also hold down the second spot on the list with oddsmakers at top offshore sportsbooks pegging them and the Philadelphia 76ers at +750 to meet for the O’Brien Trophy. The Clips have some negative history to overcome if they want to be playing in June, mainly the fact that they’ve never competed in a championship series since joining the league as the Buffalo Braves for the 1970-71 season.
BookMaker has odds for darn near every Finals matchup, at least for the teams that are expected to be competing for the league’s biggest prize. Visit BookMaker.eu to place your futures bet on the 2019-20 NBA season.

If the Bucks and Clippers reach the NBA Finals this season it will be a historic matchup. We already touched on LA’s playoff history, and the Bucks haven’t been much better. At least Milwaukee played in and won an NBA title. That, however, happened back in 1971 in the team’s third year of existence. The Bucks played in the 1974 Finals losing to Boston in seven games.
Enough of the history lesson, let’s move on to the present. The Clips not only added a proven playoff performer in Leonard, they acquired Paul George to form a formidable front court. It was Leonard’s Toronto Raptors that knocked off Milwaukee in last season’s Eastern Conference Final, so the Bucks are ecstatic about him no longer around to torment them.
The Western Conference team right below the Clips on the odds board is the Lakers who are matched with the Bucks and 76ers at +1000. According to oddsmakers, the East will likely be represented by one of those two clubs. They are the only East teams listed in any of the top 12 matchups on the board.
If you’re not ready to close the door on the Warriors championship run, you can bet them against the Bucks at +2000, the 76ers at +2300 and the Celtics at +7000. An intriguing Finals matchup would be against former teammate Kevin Durant and his Brooklyn Nets, which can be had for +15000.
