NBA Betting - Philadelphia 76ers at Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors may have taken some time to hit top gear this season, but they have proven of late that they are easily the best team in the NBA when clicking on all cylinders. The Warriors are red hot and will look to continue their streak in a matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

This is not the easiest game as the 76ers have a talented nucleus and have the ability to stay close in a back-and-forth affair. However, Golden State is the superior team and is playing at home so it will be the clear favorite.

The Warriors are on the Milwaukee Bucks’ heels for the best record in the NBA and may be able to surpass them with a victory in this game in NBA gambling.

This NBA basketball game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors will be held at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California at 10:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, January 31st, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.

Odds Analysis

The 76ers have a record of 32-18 on the season. They are the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference and would love to move up the standings down the stretch. Philly has only been so-so on the road this year with an 11-13 mark, which isn’t a good sign heading into this one.

The Warriors are up to 36-14 on the season, which is the best record in the West. They are unlikely to be caught the rest of the way and in all likelihood will enter the playoffs with the home court advantage in every round. Golden State has won 18 of 24 games at home this season.

The Warriors are the highest-scoring team in the NBA while the 76ers also put up a high number of points, so this one should be fast-paced and entertaining in NBA odds.

Key Stat

11. That’s the Warriors’ winning streak currently as they have absolutely caught fire. Golden State scuttled for the first portion of the year due to injuries and some inconsistency but is cruising now. The Warriors began this run with a close win over the Knicks, then followed it up with home victories over the Knicks and Bulls.

Golden State has since beaten the Mavericks Nuggets, Pelicans, Clippers, Lakers, Wizards, Celtics and Pacers. The Warriors have been impressive since DeMarcus Cousins returned to the court, as the team is a perfect 4-0 with him.

Cousins is averaging 13.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, adding even more talent to a starting lineup which also includes Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant.

Player To Watch

Joel Embiid -- The 76ers don’t have an advantage at very many positions on the court, but Embiid is a star down low. Philadelphia needs him to have a great game on both ends, shooting efficiently while playing good defense and rebounding.

Embiid is averaging 27.2 points, 13.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per contest. He is shooting 49.1 percent from the field but likely needs to do better than that considering his team is a substantial underdog.

Free NBA ATS Picks

The Warriors are facing off with a talented foe but nothing can slow them down right now. Golden State is at home and completely healthy, and will be too much for the 76ers to handle. Philadelphia has the horses to score so it should be able to keep up for awhile, but the Warriors’ three-point shooting will eventually overwhelm Philadelphia in NBA wagering.

The “over” may be the right choice in a game that should be up-tempo throughout.
