The New Orleans Pelicans aren’t going down without a fight in their second round matchup against the Golden State Warriors. The Pelicans defended their home court in Game 3 to pull within a game in this series. New Orleans could really turn some heads with another victory at home next time out, but it won’t be an easy task.

The Warriors were worked pretty good on Friday night but they will again be favored to capture Game 4 and take a 3-1 series lead heading back to California. New Orleans believes it has found a formula to hang with Golden State and will aim to pull off another upset in NBA basketball gambling.

Game 4 of this NBA Playoff Series is on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The contest will be nationally televised on ABC.

We'll have NBA odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game of the 2018 NBA Playoffs.

Odds Analysis

The Warriors have been listed as 4.5-point favorites in Game 4, which was the same spread as Game 3. Despite New Orleans’ dominance last time out, the oddsmakers feel like this is the right number to get action on either side. The Warriors have brought in about 83 percent of the action to cover.

The scoring total is listed at 231.5 points as this series is played at a really fast tempo. Golden State is listed as the -215 favorite while the Pelicans are +180 underdogs to pull off another upset. The Warriors have received about 75 percent of the action to win this game at these odds.

Last Time Out

The Pelicans made quite the statement last time out, dominating from start to finish and cruising to the 119-100 victory. Anthony Davis led the way with 33 points, 18 rebounds and four steals, and that’s the type of dominant performance the Pelicans are going to need to pull out another win in Game 4.

Jrue Holiday did a nice job, adding 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists while playing some solid defense. Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 26 points, but Stephen Curry shot poorly from the field and finished with only 19 points. Golden State shot only 39 percent from the field and 28 percent from three-point range, numbers that are much lower than customary.

Player To Watch

Rajon Rondo -- The New Orleans point guard had a crazy game on Friday, finishing with a mind-boggling 21 assists. He only scored four points on 2-of-10 shooting but continually put his teammates in great position to succeed. Rondo added 10 rebounds, as he is able to affect the game in a variety of ways beyond scoring.

The Warriors have the most dynamic offense in the NBA, but Rondo did a great job of orchestrating an efficient offense in this one. Rondo is averaging 12.7 points and 12.7 assists per game in the playoffs and will be a key player in Game 4.

The Warriors aren’t going to shoot this poorly from the field again, and Golden State should be able to increase the intensity as they don’t want to let this series get tied. While the Pelicans are going to hang around, the Warriors are the pick to come away with the win and a late cover of the spread.

Look for this one to come down to the wire, but free throws will be the difference in Golden State covering. The “over” is the choice as both teams are going to score at a prolific rate in NBA basketball gambling lines.

NBA ATS Pick: Warriors 121, Pelicans 114
