Well, the betting gods met me at the front door after I hit a three-team NBA parlay a few weeks ago. I haven’t come close to replicating that and I’m running out of time with the regular season concluding this weekend. You have to consider how teams locked into a playoff spot are going to handle the remaining few games. Will they rest players ahead of the postseason or keep them active by running them? Teams attempting to improve their playoff positioning don’t have that luxury. In some cases it would be worth waiting to see if coaches tip their hand before laying money on a club. The final Friday of the season offers a good slate of games with Milwaukee looking to maintain its hold on the top spot in Eastern Conference in a matchup with Memphis. The Grizzlies embarrassed the Bucks 142-101 when the clubs met in December giving Giannis and Co. a revenge motive for the rematch.

NBA Parlay Picks for Friday, April 7, 2023
Houston / Charlotte UNDER
Detroit / Indiana OVER
Milwaukee ATS
Sacramento ML
Payout: $100 to win $950
Since this is the last Friday of the regular season I thought I’d go out with a bang looking at a four-pick winner that will make up for the recent setbacks. It’s hard hitting a single NBA bet let alone a four-team parlay, but with generous odds the payout is enough to make up for weeks of frustration. Though Houston and Charlotte have long been eliminated from playoff contention they still have plenty to play for, mainly jobs for next season. The teams haven’t been good defensively, but they are worse scoring the basketball making the UNDER my play. Charlotte has the second highest under percentage in the NBA and teams played below the total in four of the last six hookups.
Defense is just a suggestion for Detroit and Indiana with the teams allowing the second most points per game with 119. They’ve also flaunted that generous defense in recent outings with the OVER cashing in three of the last four overall and in three straight games played in Indy. This one looks like another high-scoring affair making the OVER a strong play on my parlay card.
I talked about the revenge factor in the opening and I’m sure the Bucks remember what happened in their visit to Memphis earlier in the season. You don’t recall all the losses in a lengthy season, but there are some that stick out. Losing by 41 points is definitely one of them. The Bucks are a good defensive team that just didn’t have it that night. I expect things will be much different on Friday, which is why I’m backing the Bucks on the spread.
Lastly this is a season to remember for Sacramento breaking a lengthy playoff drought while battling for a top-2 seed in the West. And would there be a better way to cap off the campaign that beating their NorCal rival and defending champion Warriors? I don’t think so. The Dubs have been awful on the road with just nine victories and the worst road cover rate at 23.7 percent. The Kings won the first matchup in Sacto and have triumphed in three of the last four meetings in the Capital City. I’ll happily throw down on another one for my multi-team parlay.
